Probably. You rarely see players who aren't under contract for the upcoming season willing to play in these type of tournaments.

It’s criminal to rob a young player of this experience. I’m not sure if international tournaments have anything to do with the nhl but what I do know is, young players rarely see long term deals, so they see a lot of bridge gap deals. It’s when your average players are much older when they see long term deals.

We’ve had some Brad Marchand’s on our team, haven’t we? Maybe not 100 point players but I think we like those types of players here too. I didn’t like Dan Carcillo at first but I warmed up to him...then I hated him again in New York.

I liked Steve Downie, while most around here didn’t. I felt like he was a better player then most gave him credit. There was nobody I hated more then Max Talbot as a Penguin.
