Maybe they convince Darling to sign a 2-way deal if they don't resign Forsberg.
CHI:
Crawford
Delia
RFD:
Lankinen
Darling
... #randomSundaythoughts - Tyler Cameron
Or more likely he’s gets signed to an AHL deal with Rockford.

Then what happens if Crawford goes down?
Delia #1 with Darling backing him up? Darling as #1? Delia and Lankinen?
Altho if Crawford can’t compete, the season is likely lost anyways, I guess - but I’d rather see an NHL possible instead of Darling. They caught lightening in a bottle with Darling once - relying on lightening again is not a plan.
Don’t ask me who....

Gravel has a shot at becoming an NHLer, but that’s likely a few years away. I’m not holding out much hope for Nalimov. Hopefully I’m wrong, but something doesn’t seem right with that situation.
I think Forsberg will sign in Europe, I don’t see him wanted to share the net in Rockford. The Hawks need to sign a veteran goalie for the #2 or #3 slot. I’m not sold that Delia is ready yet. - DarthKane
I'm not particularly sold on Delia either being a full-time backup. More time on the farm can only help him in the long run. Let Forsberg walk and have Delia and Lankinen share the net in Rockford with Tomkins and Marchand in Indy.
As for a veteran backup for Crawford, I still see Ward as being a possible option again. There's also backups like Kinkaid, Hutchinson, Johnson, and Montoya. Unspectacular players but may be sufficient for affordable contract terms. |

I wonder if Ward would still be seeking $3M? |

I’m thinking he’d go for less than that. |

Stan took Tim Soderlund one pick before Toropchenko and he took some Russian who will never be heard of again 43 spots before Toropchenko.
Oh well at least he recognized Entwhistle can play. - RickJ
Will he be in Rockford next season? |

Nilsson could be another option. Maybe Talbot too, I’m not sure if he’ll get a #1 gig again. |

Ward is ok. I would sign him one more year at $3 mill. Going down.the line for back up goaltender, is Laakinen really any worse than Dellia. He has professional experience on Finland. He was considered for the World Tournament.
Dellia and Laakinen need.to show progress becoming better. Else move on to Gravel. Isn't there a collegiate goaltender Bowman was looking at? |

I would think and hope that for each year Ward gets older, the less he commands in a salary demand. One determining factor could be whether his role is as a true backup or as goalie 1B in case there is uncertainty whether Crawford as 1A can play a majority of the season. |

They sure are!. Like I said Backes and his Bruins to play against his former team the Blows. Dare I say that the Blows will win their 1st Cup in 6 games. Talk about picking your poison. I hate the Bruins just as much as I Hate the Blues. |

At work can't watch game. What's happening to the Sharks?
Really don't think either will beat the Bruins. |

Injuries, dumb penalties, falling apart ... 4-0 loss as of right now. |

Damn, Duffy, you got the best prediction so far! Nice call!
I'll watch the SCF, but I'm super disappointed & pissed that the most hated teams made it this far. Hawks need to get back in as fast as they can! |

Since I hate the Bruins more than anything, anyone think the Blows (assuming they wrap this up Tuesday) can beat those jag bags from Beantown?? |

Hahaha ... so modest. This is just about the craziest playoffs, mostly entertaining, I think. |

Ya been some strange/ good hockey . Miss the intensity of having the HAWKS battling right now . Bruins will be real hard to stop if Rask keeps up his play . |

Could be painful having to watch that final, but the could beat the Bruins. Have more depth and probably good enough defensively to slow down Bruins top line. |
