What a dumb (frank)ing statement. They are beneath you? They can never advance in life?
I hope every waitress that serves you food spits in it. - Powerslave
I missed the parts where he said all that.
Lots of people on their soap boxes today. |

Did I say any of that?
No, I didn't.
I've been a janitor, a roofer and a bouncer in my life. No issue with anyone working, period.
However, I don't think Kim has done a good job, same as I don't think I would do a good job. If someone was to critic my employment by citing my previous work history I wouldn't be too upset, seems to be valid criticism to me.
Sorry you assumed so much in what I said. - RhinoFan
What, besides the team not winning, has she failed at?
Be specific. |

So marrying a rich businessman who also has no idea what he’s doing qualifies her to run a sports franchise ? It’s not like she was a waitress and got a Bachelor of Commerce degree, an MBA, then impressed the ranks and established herself as a business tycoon. I’m sure she is a fantastic person, but she shouldn’t be anywhere close to team president of the Buffalo Sabres. - Pegullaville
Well, I'm not sure she's the right person for the job, but let's all agree on actual facts.
She got a Bachelor's degree in Communications, then took a summer job waitressing. Then she worked in the company for 20 years in marketing.
And, as a point of reference, the Co-Presidents of the San Jose sharks are a guy who has a Bachelor's in Marketing and a lawyer. So I don't know how their backgrounds make them proper for running that club, either. |

No the problem with the world is small group of people get offended by something and then accommodations have to be made for them.
The amount of people on the far right and the far left is relatively small.
But it's those people that get the most notoriety and discussion because its a shock value world.
There is far more middle ground between 85% of the world (and the political parties) at least in North America anyway. - Stripes77
True... the common ground is that no matter your skin color or if you are male/female you are no better than anyone else standing next to you. It was something that you have ZERO say in. It was your genetic making.
So those people need to shut the F up about trying to degrade other people for them to feel better about their sad and miserable lives.
There... it's been said how it should be. |

You, nor anyone else, has any idea of her intelligence level, commitment, work ethic, etc., yet she's the easy target. What a joke.
She also went to college, and worked at East Resources (a pretty successful business, if you ask me) from 1991 to 2010.
Don't act like the woman is a (frank)ing idiot.
If the hockey team was winning, NONE OF THIS IS EVEN TALKED ABOUT. - Powerslave
Last time I checked that was her job to make sure the team did that. I wouldn’t of had to cheer for another tank this year if they didn’t screw up the Tim Murray hire and have their hands in on everything and anything. The sign of a good leader is delegation, I see none with the Pegula family. Gretzky was the best of all time playing the game but couldn’t coach. Terrence is a fantastic business man but is a terrible sports owner. |

Lots of them.
On both sides.
The statement that she's a waitress and isn't qualified. She hadn't been a waitress since 1991. You really think she worked at East Resources taking people's lunch orders? |

No... I'm pretty sure him telling people to treat women fairly and equally is not sexism... he is trying to point out how to defeat what is the definition of sexism. |

LaFontaine hired Murray.
Isn't that what everyone wanted, a POHO?
And you stick up for Botterill all the time. Didn't Kim hire him? |

A plethora.
Reportedly she wanted Kane gone, as an example. Doesn't seem SJ is caving under the weight of his character, but she did. Not Terry, not Botts, her.
She has no experience in hockey. She should not be making those decisions based on her employment history.
If I may ask a question:
What about the above is sexist? You can say you don't believe the Kane report, even though many have confirmed, but if those facts are correct, isn't it fair criticism? |

Do people really not understand that there are people in the top of organizations that are business people and people that are sport people?
Listen to Magic Johnson's interview w/ Stephan A and Kellerman today. He pointed it out PERFECTLY. He left that job because the people who are supposed to be there to run the BUSINESS side of the organization (the brand, the projected profits, business models, etc.) were trying to tell him how to run the sport/team aspect of it.
Botts runs the entire sports side of the Sabres. End of story.

The fact that she isnt qualified for the job has nothing to do to her being a female.
The only people mentioning she is a female is these soap boxer divas. Seems pretty damn sexist of them to jump to the conclusion she isnt qualified because she is a women. |

And Lafontaine lasted what 10 minutes cause he knew this was a poop storm ? The NHL had a hand in our last search for a GM and we received a lot of outside assistance. Botterill is being very patient and I hope he gets the time to see out the rest of his plan. |

Isn't part of the argument is that TP and KP are delving into the sports side of the Sabres....like the Magic Johnson situation? |

Kane has been booted from two organizations. His encounters with the police and his aloof attitude did as much to seal his ticket out of town as KP. And paying him $7x7 would have been a mistake anyway imo |
