That trade still doesn’t make sense ..

It really isnt. We could just find a team that wants risto and has the space for him.
No need to bail out someone in the same division. - Mentalorgasm5
I agree with that I was only saying Tampa because that was the rumor at the deadline

Tampa made sense for us because of their forward depth, something we clearly lack. |

I agree
I realize that jbotts needed to trade ror, but that is starting to look like one of the worst. Especially if he wins the cup.
We lost in both ror trades - Boss34

Im not saying he’s Bergeron I’m going towards his tier and he would be become what Bergeron is to Boston (our Bergeron)
I don’t think the 30 is crazy at all he will get a more increased roll better line mates and his defense game will still be at an elite level .. - gerbe75pts
Yeah, but odds are Tampa won't outscore the league's best by 40 goals next year either. They had an absurdly high SH%. They only took the 14th most shots.
I'm leery of anyone on Tampa. You can add a solid 25% to their point totals(for the non-superstars). Point is not a PPG+ player on this Sabres team, no way in hell. Eichel barely was. |

Going from 20g to 30g is still a big leap though
Especially since he isn’t gonna have the talent around him here like he had in Tampa
I just think your going a bit too far with that projection |

I think we can all agree point is a 70-80 point player on a buffalo team
And let’s not forget jack got hurt and Came back to soon and his Game decreased let’s say if he never got injured he would probably be around 90 points |

Imagine what Jack could do with an elite winger. Let the jerkfest of Skinner and Reinhart continue though. |

Because the offers are see are not beneficial to us.
You want to bail them out? Trade Risto for a top 6 forward, then acquire callahan and a 2nd for a 4th. |

I wouldn’t say he had help by outstanding forwards .. if he played with Tyler Johnson Kucherov and maybe miller( I hate) I might agree |

You have to keep skinner for 8m anything more you have to let him walk but jack might not like that |

65-70, maybe, if he had linemates. If rode Jack's wing he could be around 80.
Yes, let's say Jack had 90 points, Point had 92. Jack is much better. That should tell you all you need to know.
Killorn had more points than Cirelli with 1 second more ice time. Also heavily D-Zone usage. It's the Tampa effect, let's pump the brakes on Lightning players. |

All this Tampa talk is foolish, especially when people keep mentioning we need to take Callahan back in any deal. Botterill will in no way help another team, his job is to get he best deal for the Sabres. We have enough boat anchor contracts. |

If taking on a bad contract for one year gets you a far better player or players for the next ten years, would that not be a better deal? |

I'd take Callahan for one year if it improves the deal. |

We expect someone to take Okposo off our hands. Callahan is nothing in comparison.
We should take full advantage of our cap situation. |
