That’s just more average players on this team miller is drew Stafford 2.0 acts “Tough” then becomes soft
becomes a super star one game takes off ten games
No no no no
Gourde Gets paid goes to poop and he will be here for 6 years at 5m I’m good I’ve seen those players before - gerbe75pts
I like Gourde better. I can understand the criticism of Miller.
You aren't at all.
Need more back in that deal...
I think Risto for Cirelli is light on the Bolts side...taking on Callahan means more coming back. Gourde would be nice but that is a stretch to me...Joseph would be who I want from them. If we have to add a mid rounder, fine. - IonSabres
Fair enough. I mean can't argue with an almost 20 goal scoring rookie. Still, being that he was sheltered on the best team in the league means he's a 10-12 goal guy on our squad right now. Need more to pull the trigger, but sounds like all parties agree there.

There's an article on the Athletic about all NFL teams' biggest needs. I'd say it's pretty impressive that the 'biggest need' for the Bills is another pass rusher, considering we have Shaq, Trent and Jerry. I know their situations need to be ironed out for 2020, but for 2019, you couldn't ask much more of Brandon Beane.

Its a sunk cost, so you can't worry about that part anymore. They say you can't turn chicken poop into chicken salad, but maybe we can turn chicken poop into a chicken beak sandwich. Gotta make it something useful

I would have said #1 WR or perhaps CB. We really don't have any gaping holes. WR you could argue Beasley, Brown and Jones is decent. No one says they're a great core, but Beasley and Brown both have respect around the league. With Tre White, hard to say that CB is a "big need"...
The DE pass rusher may have actually been the best option because as you say, we will need to address the position soon. Signing Hughes on for 2 years helps that, but not picking up the 5th year option with Lawson means changes must be coming. Wouldn't be surprised if that is how our 1st rounder is spent next draft.

He scored 19 on the best team in the league. Yeah, I think his production would take a hit coming here. - RhinoFan
I think his production would increase massively here your looking at a guy that s is a hidden gem that will breakout and will become one of the best 2 way players in the nhl in a couple years .. I don’t remember but wasn’t Drury at the bottom of Colorado because of all the talent they had ( maybe I’m wrong)
If ROR wins the cup I'm going to vomit. - Sabre_Tooth
Why? Water under the bridge and everyone realizes that the Blues made great improvements with a new coach who provided a message that resonated and a goaltender that has, so far, caught lightning in the bottle.
Add Tarasenko getting back up to speed and a Schwartz hitting a stride from LAST year and a fourth line that is playing lights out, you get a great run.
ROR was never going to be that for the Sabres. Let's move forward and grab two good guys in this first round, put weight on TT and develop him further.
Kane, ROR and everyone else who is no longer here are not coming through the Sabres door.

I'm genuinely interested in what you would sacrifice using our 2019/20 picks to bring in a #1 receiver, how the other needs were/are less significant, and why drafting a CB instead of a guy like Cody Ford would be better than drafting Cody Ford and bringing in a very successful but injury prone EJ Gaines and Kevin Johnson, along with the already successful Levi Wallace

"You could be right, but probably not." Thanks Boss.
This isn't necessarily true. The sole reason his option wasn't picked up is because he didn't perform up to the necessary salary that a 5th year option allows, just like Sammy. There's no reason he can't re-sign if he has a good, or even improved year here.At this rate, he can still sign for 5M, and if he improves, great, so will his salary. He played respectably last season, and if he keeps that up, I can see Beane re-signing him for a year or two based on performance.
With Murphy, his contract becomes very team friendly to release when 2019 is over. Another disappointing year will surely see his release. I fully expect to either see results from the following two, or see a 1st or 2nd round DE picked in 2020 and/or a mid-upper tier FA signing. A developmental guy to play for Jerry after his extension runs out is paramount. Certainly not the most pressing need before 2019 starts.
So I’d wanna see...
Risto, plus we take Cally off their hands
for
Cirelli, +
and maybe even another +
Cirelli, + EQUALS Risto
Cally Cap hit EQUALS another asset - jdfitz77
I would be ok if the + was Taylor Raddysh. If Risto is to be traded (which I would prefer not trading him) it would have to be a steal of a trade. Something similar to Hall for Larsson. Or a trade like Jones for Johansen which benefited both teams. I would prefer a trade out of the division and conference if it does happen. Vegas is already over the cap and only have 19 players signed. Winnipeg has $26m with 13 players signed, but have some guys due big raises which will eat up that space quickly.

Good post
I still think the Bill's are going to address the d line before the season starts. Try and add another pass rusher.

This.
He was good. He had a career year this year and he’s on a great team.
He hasn’t even been one of their 4 or 5 best forwards since like February.

CB also. Not alot of depth - Boss34
There's 11 CBs currently on the roster. 5 of starting caliber. Could any position get better? Sure. But outside of a trade, the starting talent won't increase this season. At any position, really. I suppose there's maybe a chance if a team releases a guy throughout camp, or after June 1. It's pretty rare that you're grabbing a great player off the scrap heap.
Too bad we don't have a spot for Gerald McCoy. I'd rather have Ed Oliver.
