Yes he’s slow but he can still help out the young guys he will get you 20 g and you know he will work his ass off and maybe this could be good for Casey They both went to the same school together and vanek can put him under his wing

He's not going to get 20 goals playing with Erod for 13 minutes a night. It's a nice idea, but Okposo has his roster spot imo. Old, slow PP veteran who doesn't kill penalties. I would take Vanek over Okposo in a heartbeat, but it is what it is

Jbotts wanted more time to talk with skinner in the offseason and the 8th year part.

He sounded like skinner was more likely to sign here then not?

Botts should’ve know if he could sign Skinner or not
And if he wasn’t gonna meet Skinner’s number,
then he absolutely should’ve asked him to waive & got something for him

I’m losing faith in Botts in a big way if this is true

Vanek was probably the hardest worker on the sabres and that is coming from river and Peters talking about how he was not scared to take a beating from Chara or any other player he would put ice Pack on his body every game. People would just complain about vanek because of the offer sheet
