Is Houston trading Clowny??? - jdfitz77
I think Clowney has 1 year left?
I doubt they pay 2 defensive ends top $ in houston
Watts is making some good cash.
He has been injured and kinda disappointing for 1oa |

So he's gonna play with Mittelstadt? That's not gonna work for a lot of reasons - jcragcrumple
Why wouldn’t Casey work ? All he has to do is his pretty little plays and vanek just hits it Top Corner I think they would work well together |

I agree with you, but who knows the senario?
I really think skinner was up front with Carolina and buffalo. Sorry guys, I'm not extending. (Yet)
I have a once in a lifetime chance to be wined and dined. To really chise where my life and career is going to take him?
Jbotts hoped all the winning around here and playing with John Jack would have him ready to extend?
I think he's waiting for the tampering period. I highly doubt jbotts is putting a deadline on signing. He doesn't have the leverage.
Someone que the leverage meme - Boss34
I just think if Botts wasn’t gonna meet Skinner’s demands at deadline time...
then he absolutely should’ve moved him
*or at least tried to, which apparently he did not even consider it
We could’ve gotten a 1st +
And still been in a spot to consider meeting his demands now
If it did go down that way...
idk if i even want Botts trying to make moves this summer?
Do we trust him to stop making all these “rookie gm” mistakes? |

Probably close to the same
I want no part of Duchene though
Mitts is our 2C of the future
And Duchene isn’t gonna magically turn into a ppg player 10years into his career
He’s a 60ish point guy
Little chance he’s more than that playing behind Jack - jdfitz77
That's where Sam could step in as 2c. While Casey grows.
Signing duchene pretty much forces Casey to play wing after next year.
I agree with you. What makes anyone think dushane is interested in the b-lo? |

Krueger is probably going to play CM 16-18 minutes a night, unless JB signs Duchene or Hayes. Apart from the fact that Vanek shouldn't play those kinds of minutes anymore, Vanek won't have the PP opportunities here with Okposo still lurking around. Plus - and this is probably the most important point - this team needs more speed, not more slow guys. If they move Okposo, it's a more realistic conversation imo |

I really don’t want to try Sam at center if it end ups being a disaster we’re going to be stuck in a hole like last year . |

This was jbotts "signature " trade as a gm. He is going to do everything possible to sign skinner long term.
If he walks, for nothing, it is gonna get ugly.
I really cant blame jbotts either.
If he got a 1st and a 2nd, by the time they are Sabres, he isnt going to be gm.
If he really knew in advance that skinner wanted to test free agency around July 1st, it could be why we got great value in the deal with Carolina |

We need both but hard to afford both - SABRES 89
We “need” a good 2way center if we’re gonna go 3 deep and fill in on the wings
Neither Eichel or Mitts should be in that “2way” role... and Duchene doesn’t fit that at all either |

Good point, but I think the Bill's are ready to make a splash soon. It's the nature of the business. At some point you will get fired as gm if you cant win. Both gms are going to need to win soon.
At least football contracts are easier to dispose of

That would make it even more inexcusable for not moving him though
And Botts could’ve turned the picks he got for Skinner at the deadline into young players who can help us now
This is all different if he knew Skinner wasn’t willing to waive
But it would be a HUGE ERROR if he never even checked
That would be inexcusable imo |

I don’t think it’s a bad opportunity if he gets 2.5 for 1 year yes he’s slow but that’s nothing knew players like him know how to adjust and be at the right place at the right time and just score goals .
Kyle is done I don’t see him on the team next year and if he is by some possibility here he will be benched most of the year |

What if phail lousley was just a terrible coach?
That his system or lack of , reflected poorly on Sam at center?
I think you need to take a other look at Sam at center.
Maybe preseason and October?
I agree though, not to put us in a losing situation to start the season. |

Gotta make the righ splash though
If we signed Clowny & it didn’t work out,
there’s be a lot of dead Cap- just like w Darius |

Jbotts doesn't want skinner to play elsewhere.
Trading him for a 1st or so, that just doesn't cut it.
Plus we already had 3 1st rounders
I see what your saying though |

I would Consider next year a desperate situation for the coach and the GM so I don’t think they’re going to do any “testing”
Maybe if we have a center in place and that Player gets hurt then you try Sam at Center |

That's the next gms problem.
Beane gets fired if Clowney flops
See whaley and Darius.
That contract was a huge strike. Darius had signs of being trouble from the start. Whaley just didnt care. |

Trade Samsonite with Risto to Tampa for Point. Value will never be higher. Boom. Roasted.

I wouldn’t hate it but honestly I would keep Sam he’s going to end up like sharp
But it’s not a bad trade at all if it happened I wouldn’t be upset |

I could really see that trade happening. We would probably take back a contract and another different non losing face.
Did you win money in your GOT pool?
Thought you mentioned bron? |

Negative. Bronn had to be sitting on the throne. Thought it would’ve been awesome after years of promises from the Lannister’s. Bran was chalk. Can’t go with that. Like filling out a bracket in March Madness. |
