If willie and Auston are stapled together like Marner and Tavares, its possible.

Also PP time is a factor. But Babs coaching doesnt give me confidence

- senstroll

Not when Babs plays Matthews for 16 minutes it’s not.

I think that’s what they gotta do. Let them all develop chemistry without messing with it.

True. That's the biggest issue with the Leafs.
Is it that hard to realize play your best players the most?

willie leading WC in scoring.

https://www.eliteprospect...league/wc/stats/2018-2019

I have since learned this is not good.

- senstroll

Cool. Better than not scoring at all

However, some context before people cream themselves.
Points against teams with 5 or less nhlers: 15
Points against teams with 7 or more nhlers: 2.

As you were

No no.. he’s still a good NHL player..

Just not suited to play in Toronto.

FWIW, I think he would be a brutal football player

- Arctic_AARDVARK

But he had two 60pt seasons in Toronto? Why cant he play here?
I get, that recently players who leave Toronto have better success the following year.
Just dont understand why willie cant play here and succeed?

I like the CFL game better actually due to the bigger field and 3 downs.
- RogerRoeper

Same.
The nfl game is boring
But football sucks.

Glassthews is often injured, might be the reason why Bablum limited his ice time

He could. But I think he thinks of himself as a star, on MM or AM level. I honestly think he could be a really really good player somewhere on the west coast. VAN would be a good fit. Toronto is a gritty town. Sundin was heavily criticized here for not being physical when it mattered, but he was a lot tougher than Willy is.

I would consider a Nylander for the 10th pick trade.

Bozak, Gunner, and Steen in the SCF....good for them.

Hopefully Jake Allen (NB) plays a couple of mins to get his name on the Cup.

Marner is feisty.

That’s the difference. Are you saying marner is as soft as Nylander?

I just have trouble cheering for douchebags. Doughty's probably better than PK ( I like PK a lot) but it's more from a person perspective.
That was my biggest issue with Dion P as well - huge douchebag.

Imagine havign to cheer for a starting lineup of

Marchand - Kesler - Wilson
Phaneuf - Doughty
douchabag goalie (?)

*honorable mentions for Eichel, Lucic, E. Kane, P. Kane and Shaw

- MaximusAurelius

I'd also throw Subban, Chara, Roussel, both Tkachuk's, Domi, and probably a few others I'm forgetting at the moment, onto this all world douche team.
