All this talk of Willie and Kadri, nobody thinks hey, Kadri developed over several years, maybe Willie can too. Maybe that's the development part of draft and develop, you know the thing the Leafs never did? Alexander Steen says hi. Lol stupid Loaf fans. 67, two firsts and a second. - Zezel
Ugh steen....such a bad example that leaf fans use over and over again.
It was a bad trade, yes.
But he didnt become a 55pt plus player until 6 seasons after he was traded. |

DeBoer confIrms Karlsson and Hertl did not make the trip and won’t play tonight. Pavelski is a game-time decision. #stlblues
Good news for both teams.
St. Louis is lucky that Hertl isn't gonna play and San Jose is lucky that Karlsson isn't. - GreatGigInTheSky
San Jose has had so many massive breaks this playoffs they can't complain. |

Had some pretty kickass dumplings at a place in chinatown east on gerrard the other day. Fantastic. Also Johnny's before hopping on the highway back to Montreal.

neither Kadri nor Steen took up anything close to the CAP % that Nylander does, and neither of those guys are as one-dimensional as Nylander, team was never in a CAP crunch like now with them seeking new contracts.
yes, having Nylander develop would be great... but I don't think having a player at 6.9M means they are considered as "developing"....you got that contract ... you are there.

While I agree, still sucks to lose guys to injury. |

Yep, Kadri needs a new home, love the guy but................................ - Garnie
Here is the thing I think a few like Kadri and Brown likely do go. I still think possibly one of Kap or Johnsson goes too.
The real question is just WHAT moves Dubas is going to do and who comes back as he shapes and tries to balance the team somewhat. Z I can see being moved as well but a full season beside Muzzin may be good but the salary thing again is going to be a kicker.
I think more it is a wait and see but don't think too many really are all that safe in the end IF another team meets the Leafs desires for a trade too. |

Once we know what Marner is going to make, things might be a little easier to predict.
I'm not getting to bent out of shape, our Coach sucks, goalie sucks, only have 2 D, Hyman sucks, Nylander does sometimes, Matthews floats around, Marner is ok, JT is slow. Don't see a cup anytime soon anywas, so enjoy the cold beer. |

It'd be a big mistake to trade Kadri. That's a great contract. |

The Pacific will be packed enough with a new Seattle team, no room for relegation |
