i'd put nylander in marner's place on the 1st unit.

nobody feared marner's shot from the outside. nylander can score from there.

marner is best with his puck on the stick - let him freewheel on the 2nd unit.

Everyone says we can’t trade Kadri so we have 3 strong Cs...does anyone else remember Kadri at C at age 22? He was a train wreck in his own end and couldn’t win face offs. Will his ahead of him at the same stages of their careers.

I like Kadri, but he's not doing well with the limited minutes at #3C, and doesn't kill penalties.
I kind a like Willie's strong points of his game, but he's just too expensive and easily replaceable by Kapanen on RW with Matthews. Rather have a complementary good young LW instead of Nylander on RW and then having to trade Kapanen and have 4mln (difference Kapanen caphit vs Nylander caphit) of capspace less to address other needs..

For the record, I'm not a "Willie wife" but I do think he should stay with the Leafs. I'd rather the Leafs trade Kadri
