I also for one never thought ROR was overpaid or overrated. he is who he is. A perfect #2 center... I agreed with the trade then and still do, he wanted to go and we needed to trade him. We just never replaced him. - hehateme
Well the attempt gave up ~14 million dollars to not live in Buffalo, but yes I agree with you.

he needs to find/create open space more than anything - Michael Pachla
Adding mass is the single most important thing he needs to do. As with most young players, especially giraffes, this is the main issue holding them back.
Adding mass->able to compete for pucks/knock players off pucks/hold onto pucks->able to drive the net->able to get dirtier goals
His lack of success can mostly be contributed to physical weakness. His IQ probably doesn't help too much.. but if his IQ is going to hold him back from being dynamic, he needs to be a power forward. Needs to be able to grind, make himself space, and rifle one timers and up close wristers.
Watch his game grow when his strength follows suit.

they expect Thompson to add 15 lbs. or so to his frame...might take a couple years...am interested in seeing how this progresses - Michael Pachla
Well, no offense.
He is Tyler Myers II, plays with a purse.
A Power Forward is good if and only if he uses his size and strength to his advantage...
(Was the "his" sexist?)
Which he has not yet done so.
Maybe Krueger can coach his manliness up several notches.

Imagine it was mentioned yesterday, but if there's still any reservation on Kreuger, listen to the Paul Maurice interview on WGR yesterday. Beyond impressive.

If these players come together as team and listen to Kruger, we may have something here.

I think it’s more a question of him getting to the point where he can play the game at the speed it’s played in the National League. He’s had success at the college level and at the American League, but defenders take away space much faster up in the bigs, and he hasn’t found a way to get off his shot accurately when he’s under pressure.
In time and space, he’s fine - but at this level there just isn’t as much as he needs.

I'm still surprised they could get a head coach from another team to come on their show. They struggle to get our own coaches on. Have to assume he was excited to talk about Krueger.

Taco- so if Ror scores the game 7 or winner of the Stanley cup, he won't be more relevant?
That doesn't compute - Boss34
Relevant to this fan base. Regardless if he scores a golden goal, his relevancy will still be as much then as it is today, which is maxed out because he's more important than Jesus Christ.

Our coach is on every Tuesday morning during the season.
