I'm pulling for O'Reilly, the player not good enough to be a line one center on a cup team.... - Mentalorgasm5
Last time I checked Brayden Schenn has been centering the top line since game 3 of round 2. Also the Blues haven’t won the cup yet so ROR still might not be a Centre good enough to get a ring in general |

Were you rooting for the Leafs in the first series? I'm curious as to where your true hatreds lie lol. - RhinoFan
I was rooting for a meteor strike. But failing that, I rooted for the Leafs to lose. I have since rooted for Boston to lose, and I will continue to do so.
I have had no other rooting interests in these playoffs beyond those two things. Had Carolina beaten Boston, I would have rooted for them to lose. |

I dont want to be the oldest franchise without a cup. Ergo, stl and van must not win - jcragcrumple
That distinction seems pretty meaningless to me because Toronto hasn't won a cup since before: (a) the Sabres existed and (b) expansion.
Does it really matter if Buffalo is the oldest franchise without a cup when there's a franchise that hasn't won a cup since 1967? |

I stole this analogy, but here goes. Boston is like your rich, really good looking buddy who scores with just about every chick he tries to. It used to annoy you, but eventually, you just shrug your shoulders and accept it as inevitable, and just another regular day.
They really don't bother me anymore, Marchand or not. - buffalofan19
Yep. I don't hate the Leafs or the Bruins. I don't hate any teams or any players. If O'Reilly, Marchand, Chara, or anybody else hoists the Cup this year, good for them - well done, sirs - you deserved it. But I'll tell you who I do hate : It's the fans. In order of hate, it goes : 5 Rangers fans. 4 Bruins fans. 3 Flyer fans. 2 Leaf fans 1 Habs fans.

Even if StL got swept in the 1st round...
Still would’ve been a horrible trade by Botts
And whether or not the Blues win the Cup,
the “ROR is a cancer” argument has long been blown outta the water - jdfitz77
You know how bad it’s going to be here if Ryan O’Reilly wins the cup there are going to be pictures every day of him holding the cup .. The fights won’t stop until we win in a cup
Nope |

Its ridiculous how excited I am about the krueger hire.
It's out of the box and forward thinking by the pegulas and jbotts.
Just like everyone else, I was disappointed at this past season. Some odd reason, this hire wipes those feelings away.
Maybe I'm blaming phail lousley too much?
Easy scapegoat or he seriously was clueless - Boss34
Really?? Why are you guys excited? Are you not sick and tired of being let down? I will not get excited until I see results. I think that's fair.

Bill's are probably offering him " no touchdowns in college $" . He probably wants to be paid like a 3rd rounder. Which is basically 4th round $. |

Really?
Where's the "excitement" coming from?
It's mostly a morgue in here except for a few
Gerbe is spontaneous and stands by his mistakes and smiles with his thoughts when proven correct but doesn't gloat. Buffalo sports fan can handle being beaten by better skill, coaching but I believe it boils down to the humility in how one handles winning a championship, for many of us, can shape our opinions upon our likes/dislikes of other teams. Some posters are more concerned with their own ego of being Hockey Wise, or something about seeing into the future, hating this team, the owners, the previous owners, every player that's ever donned a Sabres jersey. Even if Scott Norwood's kick shifts a few feet to the left in 1990, or Bernie Perrant wasn't absolutely Hasek like in 1975. People around here would simply focus on the three Super Bowls we lost after our first fluke and how that series in the 70's was so long ago turn the story into how a once Great Young hockey team in a small city won the Cup and wallowed in deep misery for the next 44yrs wondering how it all fell apart.
On a side note,
F u c k ROR , POS, paid millions by the Buffalo Sabres to not ONLY play strong professional skilled hockey on the ice but to ALSO mentor and help Jack Eichel grow into the Captain and Best Center our Team has known since Gilbert Perreault. Who was born and bred French Canadian who became the face of a first time franchise, HE NEVER LOST HIS LOVE OF THE GAME! |
