Is Carter really that bad now? Or just injury prone? It wasn't long ago that he was being talked about as one of the most underrated players in the game. - mgriffen
I don’t think he’s that bad at all. Kings players didn’t care this year after a certain point (NOV-DEC). They didn’t care about practices. They didn’t care to come to ANY rink to play. They gave up before DEC. None of them were happy to come to practice and work on their mistakes. Also WD was a TERRIBLE GOD AWFUL coach to bring in for this group.
Carter is not done. I think BOS could be a very good destination for him if the kings were to trade him. |

That bad now. He was healthy this season and was basically invisible all year. His last injury from the season before could be stuck in the back of his mind, but he had all season to do something and never did. I mean, he had an injury towards the deadline this year which didn't last that long though. Problem is he loves the So Cal beach life so some of us thought he wasn't really injured towards the end and didn't want to get traded at the deadline. Obviously I doubt a professional would do that but just saying.
He had 33 pts in 76 games as a 2nd line center. -20.
Might need a change of scenery but I think he is done. - Bojangle
I disagree with “he’s this bad now”. They had absolutely no motivation to come to practice or games. They didn’t care. There are quotes to prove this.
When you don’t care you don’t do anything well. |

Karlsson will sign with Tampa or Vegas. Sun. Less taxes. Way better odds of winning long term. More public anonymity compared to Canadian markets. - fatty_mcmanboobs

Karlsson needs to lock down his 7 year 60+ million ASAP, because 1 more bad season and he'll be lucky to get a 5 million per offer on a short term deal |

So, to translate from whatever language you're speaking - you're saying that I'm insinuating that another player in Kessel's place, would have won a cup with the Leafs?
No. that's not what i'm saying. I'm saying any team with him as "the man" is not going to win a cup. he wasn't going to win a cup in Toronto because he was the Leafs' best player. he wasn't capable of doing it himself. If you're going to win a cup, you've got to be built around a better player than Kessel.
If Kessel was going to win a cup, he needed better players around him. In fact, better than himself.
To try and put this in one syllable words so you might understand - If Phil Kessel is your best player, no cup for you. - prock
It's the NHL, Crosby wouldn't sniff a cup as the Leafs best player with that garbage team.

I knew they started cutting back on education down there, but didn't expect to see the impact so soon. You're generalizing a player's impact based on extremely poor examples. Kessel could have easily won the Conn Smythe on one of those cup runs. Karlsson is a two time Norris winner. You're of the same ilk that says Thornton is a loser because he hasn't won a cup yet. There's plenty of Hall of Famers out there without championship rings. - mgriffen

He's like the defense version of Phil Kessel. - prock

Did yiu actually think about that before you wrote it or does your labotomy make it hard for you? |

Hearing lots of interest from other teams regarding Jake Allen. Binnington has seemed to steal the show for St. Louis. Carolina and Chicago seem to be the front runners. More to come. Keep your eyes on Allen. |

Kessel could've won the Conn Smythe in both those Cup runs. 22 points in 24 playoff games followed with 23 in 25. That "third line" was arguably their best line (HBK) when they played together. Not "the man" according to you. Yet in one of those Cup runs he had more points than Crosby did. You really are a know nothing dumba$$. |

You're an idiot. If you really think you trade out Crosby and Malkin for some lesser players (lesser than Kessel), and they still win the cup, you're the fool.

Shutup Sally Sandbagger. Just because I slapped you around on here doesn't mean you have to whine about it. I'll be your worst nightmare now. You want it. You got it. Post in the current thread so I can slap the $hit out of your mouth on there too. Coward. |
