Was watching the other game... Hischier scored a goal at the end of the 2nd period and Severson scored a goal at the end of the third... 0.4 seconds to tie it...

This whole Donskoi talk is disgusting!!!! It is the best example of how gullible fans are. A couple of "experts" throw a name & a bunch of fancy stats at you & everyone is buying. The last 34 games of the regular season how many goals did he have??? Definitely don't need any kind of math on this 1. Not even your first lesson of 1+1=2. The last 34 regular season games he had zero goals. If he was in a Devil's uniform & finished the last 34 games with zero goals every person on here would be protesting if we didn't buy him out or dump him in a trade!!!

At age 27 & after 4 full yrs in the league all of the same "experts" will be saying he is what he is at this point. There's not going to be any drastic improvement or fall off. So if he is what he is then where does he fit in. Career avg is 14 minutes so we'll basically say 3rd line. We have 2 of the best defensive Centers with Zacha & Zajac. Assuming we take Hughes they'll be at #3C. Coleman is a 20+ goal guy (Donskoi's high is 14 the last 2 seasons) and arguably one of the best defensive forwards in the league. I'm taking Coleman over Donskoi 10 out of 10 times. Wood is not a #2LW yet & may never be. With a full camp & lessons learned last season there is no doubt that Wood should be at #3LW. Wood had 19 goals 2 seasons ago & 20 for him this season would be expected. He's got a higher ceiling than Donskoi so there's no way I'd move Wood to #4LW & Coleman to #3LW to put Donskoi @#3RW. He's going to get to much $ to have him playing on the 4th line. We've got to many players that have a higher ceiling then him. Hynes used a ton of Gabriel @#4RW for his size, his physicality, & to drop the gloves. That's not a role for Donskoi. If we play Boqvist, Bastian, Anderson, Rooney, or McLeod now instead of Donskoi they are gonna be better & more valuable than a 30yr old Donskoi.

Assuming we draft Hughes we need a top 6 LW & to upgrade the defense. I say LW because Bratt has been way more productive on the right than the left. Where does Donskoi fit into that?? He doesn't fit with us in any way shape or form. If after reading that you still want Donskoi & think he's a great add for us I've got some great ocean front property in the Arizona desert to sell u!!!

I agree with everything you wrote. Though I will point out Bratt would probably do just as good if not better at LW. He only played RW because we had Marjo there and it's the only way to get him top 6 mins.

For the right player I'm all for Bratt moving back to the left. I'm sure with some time he'd be just as good if not better on the left. Donskoi is just sooooo far from the right player. Big talk of Pittsburgh shopping Kessel. For Kessel I'm thrilled to have him on the right & Bratt on the left.

Here's the link to Jack Hughes' 2019 World Championship highlights. This kid is amazing and played better as the tourney went on. Speed, vision, playmaking...it's all there. He's just got to get stronger ASAP.
