Just dropping in here to make a quick comment or two and then back to enjoying my summer without the distraction of following countless white noise trade suggestions.
1) Trouba absolutely wants to go to play for the Panthers. Yes , his girlfriend is from down there and yes, he won't be staying so Chevy might as well act now .
2) I liked Lemieux's play but as some of us suspected he was truly cancer in the dressing room and with some of the younger players. He was destroying team chemistry here and leadership on the Jets wanted him gone and has that request granted with the NYR trade.
3) Sheif was super upset at the first round loss. It hit him really hard. Hence the quick exit.
4) Myers is looking at $6.5 MM elsewhere and Chevy can't really afford that. Too bad unless he somehow takes a lesser deal to stay. He does like it in the Peg.
Cheers ! - jetsnation
I thought trouba’s fiancé was working and living in Florida right now but from New York? At least that’s what posters on Ranger boards have been saying and speculation is she would prefer to return to New York? Who knows |

The classic include Bryan Little in a trade. Can Jets fans please put a moratorium on any Little trade until 2020 when his NMC expires |

why do assume he'd say no? he can always be asked? players do waive their no move. |

How about 11 goals in his last 60 games. How much did that help the Jets win? - BWJumper
you're right, he deserves all the blame, the rest of the team was awesome and this is all on the shoulders of a 20 year old. |

Where did I ever say he should be blamed for the Jets problems? I said he deserves criticism for his bad year.
Laine's individual year in a nutshell.
October 3 PPG and 5 points
November awesome month finished with 19 goals in the first 22 games (only 3 assists)
then from November 25 one day after his 5 goal game to the end of season which was 60 games 11 goals 28 points which is terrible.

I know you are being sarcastic. However, other “generational” players have all gotten criticism as well.
I don’t know what makes Laine immune to it!
I am also thinking the Twitter machine is not good for you. You have not been the same joyful poster you used to be. |

I think the Devils want Little just as much as Wheeler wants him as his Center. |

First off there's no proof of Trouba wanting to play here in Florida, And secondly you're wrong Trouba's fiancee Kelly Tyson isn't from Florida she grew up in Bloomfield Hill, Michigan might want to check your facts before making yourself look silly. |

it seems you argue that he is either generational or not whenever it suits your argument.
What I have always said is he deserves no more criticism than any other Jet but he has received ten times the amount. All the while being a 20 year old child not yet allowed to drink in the USA

Players like Trouba don't come on the market very often. He is wanted by at least 6 teams and each one doesn't want him going to another team almost as much as they want him. This alone will boost his worth and Chevy will play one offer aginst another one to do just this. I think the two top contenders are Philly and Florida. Could Philly part with Patrick and a #1 pick. Florida would part with a top forward and #1 pick as they can score but can't defend. One thing for sure he isn't going to come cheap. - islansjet
He is not on the market. Wpg can opt to go to arbitration and keep him for at least one more year. Tho they are far more likely to trade him, EK65 is still a far superior offensive D, and both are lackluster in their own zone. So.....Trouba for 8M or EK for 9.5M. Pretty easy answer. |

Not a fan of either team but how about Trouba for Werenski? Jets might have to add a bit to reflect age difference and the fact Werenski will come cheaper, at least in the near future |

I want nothing involved here.
And stop using a Selke level center on a steal of a contract as a throw in |

In reality, both Erik Karlsson and Jacob Trouba are better defensive players than 90% of the league. The idea that either is below top pairing level without the puck is odd, so you can imagine my amusement at the idea of them being “lacklustre” |

Selke level
I discussed this four or five blogs ago, Lowry has never received a single Selke vote. There are players with less offensive points that have gotten votes. Furthermore, I have asked Peter to outline his usage as it appears that he plays great against other teams third lines, not so much the top two lines.
I am not discussing this any further, already been done. |

I have never said he's generational. You and your buddy Rexypoo think so
Also you call Laine a child, but you and your buddy Rexypoo have levelled almost 5000 times the criticism to Tyler Myers than any other player. Go check yourself!!!! |

Hahahahahah you called him generational to make a point on this very blog, make up your mind.
Last I checked Myers was not 20. |

Good response. You are calling a spade a spade and nothing else.
That’s the thing, if u say he had a bad year, some will jump on you saying you are blaming the team’s problems on Laine. Or, the other favourite go to line is “why are you levelling them blame on Laine while giving Scheifele and Wheeler a pass”.
Or, the other go to response was that Bryan Little dragged him down.
His play, puck battles, board battles, 50/50 battles speak for itself. |

There is a difference between calling someone “generational” and generational.
Myers was 24 years old when you are your buddy Rexypoo started bashing him. There is not much difference between being 24 and 20. |

I don’t consider Selke voting a legitimate measuring stick for defensive ability. I just once again point to Kopitar getting the nod in the worst defensive season of his entire career.
Lowry himself is a top tier shutdown centre. Any drop in ability by his line against top competition is easily and immediately attributed to one Brandon Tanev |

20 to 24 is an unbelievably massive difference. Just look at Mark Scheifele. You’re basically talking about an age that would be a lot of players’ rookie year vs the year a player is about to peak. It’s development years vs prime years. |

As long as Maurice is coach the Lowry checking line and his 15 minutes is the reason no prospect on the Jets will get an opportunity to develop.
Don't complain next year when the 4th line of Vesalainen-Roslovic-Appleton get 8 minutes a game all year |
