I don't think there's much question on which side Alex is more comfortable at. He's barely played RW in 3 seasons. IMO, he lost his spot on the team the night they tried him on RW and he had his worst game of the pre-season. He didn't play RW in Rochester. He played RW a couple games with Buffalo, but really out of necessity, since so many of our LW's can't play RW at all and they called up Olofsson.
So, the problem is obvious. Too many soft, skilled, defensively deficient LW's. How can you have Skinner, Sheary, Olofsson, and Nylander on the same team? Even 3 causes problems.

They have an ex-waitress who married well as team President (so do the Bills - it's the same person). The few times she speaks publicly she makes AOC sound like Margaret Thatcher.

So safe to assume Homis is actually John Galt - IonSabres
You're not qualified to make that assumption because you've never been a professional assumer.

be thrilled if he gets half that... 20.. thanks for the chuckle... - gordong
He's only like 21, he is young.
They need to give him proper time to develop...say until about 35.
Yet he has been the same player, as Michael pointed out, for his entire career. Soft, disinterested for long, long stretches.
At 21, he has about a 20% chance of making it. Stop wasting time and energy on him....package him with something of some value and try to get a 3rd liner for it.
I was right when you goobers were screaming about Samson.
This kid has IT, but been plagued by injuries and being sent to the AHL too early.
WHEN he makes the team this year, he will quickly vault up to the 2nd line and 2nd PP unit. He'll score 20 goals, pick up 25 assists and be dropping Sabres-fan-jaws into the PLAYOFFS.
So what I'm drinking, that has nothing to do with this.
