You know, that's actually pretty ingenious. Not a firm rule, but looking at contracts recently signed around the league that does seem like a pretty good gauge.

Still, if Samson scores 65 pts next year (bringing his average to 53.5), it would bring his "value" to 6.45M per which to me would be fair.
