Masai looks good now,

But he won’t when they lose 4 straight to GS and Kawhi walks the next day. I guess no matter what they really have no chance, but I think to your point, that in the NBA you have to go all-in if you can.

Dubas deserves minimal credit for anything. JT wanted to come here and Muzzin was a decent pick up, but we won’t know who won that trade for at least a couple years. He’s not some genius wiz-kid.

You seem to lack NBA knowledge if this is what you truly think.

If the Raptors make it to the finals and lose to one of the best teams of all time that is not a failure for the franchise. They have a chance to resign Kawhi, one of the best players in the league who wouldn't have considered Toronto had he not been here for a year.

Even if he leaves, the Raptors were going nowhere with Derozan , just a sad treadmill team. This gives them a shot and if he leaves they are no longer on the hook for Derozans additional years of salary and move forward with a rebuild which would have been needed anyhow.

Trade their expiring players for picks or prospects which are Gasol, Lowry, Ibaka, FVV and rebuild around Siakam, and OG.

Good Post, both major hires by Leiweke - Shanahan for the Leafs and Ujiri for the Raptors were excellent - hard to argue either turn around. That the Leafs lost to Boston - who were slightly favoured was a kick in the guts for Leaf fans, but there is much to be optimistic about with the Leafs. As far as the Raptors are concerned, I agree with your assessment that this team does not get this far with Derozan instead of Leonard. The Bucks were heavily favoured to win this series and it looks pretty good for the Dinos at this point. Ujiri is excellent and the way they have handled Leonard has been great -even if he doesn't re-sign.

Dude, you don’t have to respond to every psycho out there who has a meltdown for each one of my posts.. a lot of it is by design.

Yep completely agree. Both hires have really made a difference and turned around the teams. Looks good for the future.

Coming in I thought that Russia and the US were the 2 best teams in the tournament and the US isn't even playing for a medal and Russia will be playing for Bronze.

Crazy.

Ok, let me rephrase.

Ahem*

(frank) the Raptors, and the NBA.

That is all.

Maybe don’t write me a novel about how much you like the raptors, or that Kawhi might stay (he’s 100% not), or they can rebuild around Siakam etc. I obviously don’t care, or know anything about the NBA. Isn’t it obvious that I’m using this (you guys being lame bandwagon fans) against you? Why would you write paragraphs detailing your thoughts on a Kawhi-less team in the future?

Went to the Marlies game last night.

You people are franking lunatics if you think that Sandin is going to seamlessly replace Gardiner.

The kid is still very, very raw. You think Gardiner makes baffling giveaways?

Holy frank.
