Borgman would be my choice

I don't think so.

I guess Kucherov and Vasilevskiy weren't satisfied with only one huge and disappointing upset this season

Finland's killing it with literally one NHL player.

They’ve moved ahead of Sweden imo...

They play that team game, that’s why they don’t need a lot of NHLers. Idk who coached them, but you’d think an NHL team would have reached out by now.

If Canada can squeaze by the Czech would be most excellent to see.
- dmnted

For sure. Canada also gets Mantha back from suspension for today's game. So that'll help. He's been arguably their best player in the tournament.

Sorry, both great trades

(Lay off the pipe)

Sorry. I'm a Leafs fan and I'd like to see trades that help them. Not (frank)ing awful trades that hurt the Leafs.

Went to the Marlies game last night.

You people are franking lunatics if you think that Sandin is going to seamlessly replace Gardiner.

The kid is still very, very raw. You think Gardiner makes baffling giveaways?

Holy frank.

- Atomic Wedgie

Yeah, he had a bad game last night. Turned it over right in front of the net a few times.

I've never thought he would make the team next year, but he's usually a lot better than he was yesterday.

Muzzin really is replacing him.

Holy (frank) man, listen to yourself.

“Raptors will get swept in the finals”

So you viewed in your crystal ball and saw the Raptors winning game 6 or 7 against the Bucks and then losing 4 straight? Uhm ok.

“Kawhi walks the next day”

Again where is your crystal ball.

“JT wanted to come home so Dubas deserves no credit”

Again man, you have no (frank)ing clue why Tavares chose Toronto. Just because he is from Toronto it does not mean that is why he wants to play in Toronto. Stop pretending you know these things.

And the most funny and ironic part of your post.

“Muzzin trade was decent but we won’t know for a few years who wins that trade”

???

Seriously? After looking into hot crystal ball and seeing the Raptors season go up in flames after being up 3-2 in the conference finals you can’t look into the future for the Muzzin trade?

(frank) HB, why do you let people like this post.

- Santo_44

The funny thing is, no Toronto guy wants to sign in Toronto. The one star who does, Dubas deserve 0 credit.

Put it this way, JT wouldn't have signed in TO if the Leafs were a diaper fire, Shanahan and the lottery balls deserve credit. That lotto arguably got them AM and JT. Dubas still had to present the right pitch about the plans going forward and he did, which JT mentioned.

Anyway who cares how it happened we got Tavares and that's badass.

- Zezel

There's no doubt and that's why Matthews is never going to Arizona.

Dubas wasn’t responsible for making the Leafs an attractive team, Lou did that.

He put together a sick video, though! Props!

You are mocking the idea of a video, but who else ever did that in the NHL for a UFA and everyone that saw it was blown away.

Lou failed to sign JT. But he got a 1 time 50 point forward for 6 million per. Good job.

Everyone involved in the recruitment said that Dubas was the big reason in Snakevares deciding to leave the Islanders in favour of the Leafs.

Also, apparently he asked for a copy of the video they made for him.

He also got his team to the second round..

You can go get all the talent you want, but when there’s guys making 7mil and scoring 7 goals, it (frank)s with the culture of the team. Crucify Lou if Nelson doesn’t live up to the contract, but you all were quick to rip the Caps for signing Wilson to his contract.

Stats are fun to look at, but ref season stats mean (frank) all in the playoffs.

He failed to do that in Toronto. And in the end, they won 1 single more game than the Leafs.

Sorry but Brock Nelson's contract is so much worse than Nylanders. It's not even close. How the hell did Leo Komorov get 4 years and a raise?

Look at that Isles roster, you honestyly think they can repeat or better what they did this year?

But this was just a slam dunk for Dubas

How did Lou fail to sign him offering so much more $?

Literally Tavares and Shanahan said Dubas was a huge reason in it getting done. It's really not even a debate.

It's very clear that Tavares was still thinking of signing in Long Island just prior to July 1st.

He failed to advance to the second round with a very young, inexperienced team. Dubas added JT and Muzzin (not to mention Matthews and Marner being a year older) and got the same result.

You’re putting way too much stock in pretty boys talent. He’s was a joke this year and you’re all too vain to admit it was a horrible contract. Dubas admits he (frank)ed it up.

Uh, their core isn't that young aside from Barzal. Their top players were in their primes. In fact, most have been around so long all are UFA eligible.

So Dubas is a joke for getting as far as Lou with Toronto. Ok...

WE are in cap trouble because of Lou's signings.

Ok..

So the Leafs are lucky to have Dubas because he had the foresight to make a video? And that had more bearing on JT signing here than the rest of the roster, which Lou built (mostly)??

You know TSN, SN, the Athletic or any other publication operate on clicks, right?

TSN, SN said he wasn't going to Toronto prior to July 1st, so these articles make sense. And Larry Brooks is a New York guy.

Uh. I was talking about Lous success with the Leafs vs Dubas’ success with the Leafs.

And wut!?!? Yeah, Lou getting Kadri and Rielly to take sweetheart deals really hurt the Leafs..
