So since you’re here...what would you want for pick 8? Pick 20, Kreider (think about him playing w/McDavid ), anything else? How much? I see a match with rangers and the Earlers. All this assuming Kreider extends with them, which I gather would be the hard part and not so much agreeing on particulars in a trade

I think the Kakko/Hughes decision will dictate who they take at 20. If it's Kakko, I could see another D or a C. If it's Hughes, I could see them taking a dynamic winger.

EDM - 20th OA, A.Georgiev

They have enough ammunition to move up from 20, that’s what I’m hoping for. And a center should be atop the list (wether it’s prioritizing things or BPA) with the second pick, obviously if it’s Kakko and not Hughes. If it’s Hughes then yes, go winger or maybe D.

Id do that. Those guys will be gone when they need to be gone anyway. Any salary the rangers take on for the next two years isn’t the worst idea for them to do. Just ride it out and let the kids develop.
