You need to hold off on the speculation. I am getting awful nervous. Either one of those players is going to haunt the Rangers for years. - JRR1285
You've got it backwards. One of those players might haunt the Devils for years.
You can't get haunted by someone you didn't have the opportunity to pick. I've said it before, the Rangers are in a 150% no-lose situation. They can't control what the Devils do. But if the Devils take the wrong guy....they'll regret it forever |

it's such a crazy thing that these two players are virtually 1A and 1B and the Devils and Rangers have the two picks, blows my mind |

That's way too much of an optimistic way for us to look at it. But I agree. |

I remember there was a funny story when Tikkanen, Graves and Kurri were all Oilers and Graves is a real nice guy obviously, Tik was talking to him, Graves coudnt understand him so he asked Kurri if he could help translate because he is also Finnish and Kurri said "how the (frank) should I know?" - jimbro83

I liked Wendell Clark, he was like NHL's Kirk Gibson - jimbro83
It always astonishes me how young he retired. Dude seemed like he was 35 the moment he entered the league. He retired before age 35 in 2000! |

I had a diarrhea-taste in my mouth while I typed it, but it's true. Unless the Rangers take someone who has a last name that isn't Hughes or Kakko, they can't make a mistake. It's impossible.
It's not impossible that the guy they get turns out to be a bust...but they still would've done the only acceptable thing by drafting him. |

This. It's sort of like how we talked about Daigle earlier. He was a colossal bust, but there is no way Ottawa couldn't take him. There's no way we can't take whoever falls to us. It's just so weird being in a position where we either are going to really love or really hate either player. |

I think getting rid of Shattenkirk is a real possibility. I’ve been reading a few blogs where guys are saying they would want him but I’m pretty sure he has a limited NTC. If we retained 2 million on the deal I think we could get a 2nd and B prospect. Then we should make an offer for a guy like Trouba or Carlo. Buch 20+
Kakko Zib Chytil
Panarin Strome Kravtsov
Kreider Andersson Lemeuix
Vesey Howden Smith
Skjei Trouba

Go (frank) yourself! I would take him on my team any day. At any point in his career. You would be hard pressed to find more of a heart and soul player in any organization. |

I like this, but do not see us getting Toruba. Smith has to be traded or sent down. Shatty traded as well regardless to let younger players play |

Hahaha. I knew it was coming off a little more harsh than I meant it. But, you don't (frank) with Captain Canada!!! No matter what kind of state he was in, he NEVER turned down an invite to wear the Maple leaf.
And then, after he retired he was playing in a senior league game with his brother and some douche ran him into the boards from behind! In Canada no less!! It's not like he was playing in Switzerland or anything. Unbelievable. |
