And two sticks took the bait
Carp did mention them adding some beef tho, but Simmonds is to slow. Ferland is the guy I’d want in that area, but hes the guy that probably gets a crazy deal this summer from someone. One of those 6 yrs 30 mill or something - Slimtj100
Ferland scores are .19 GPG clip during the regular season. Simmonds scores are .29 GPG clip. |

Oh I knew he meant a troll post, but Fillpula was someone who I actually could see being decent here. NYI Fillpula was actually quite serviceable. The other two, lol. |

I think the moves the rangers end up making this summer are Panarin and trade for William Karlsson. Those two moves set up the forwards really well for years. Then figure out what happens with the Kreiders, Veseys, Nams, Fasts, Boos, etc.
I don’t think the defense will be much different, except for Fox, because they have so many kids to evaluate. Ie/ EK, Trouba, Subban ain’t happening

Ferland 17 goals last year. Simmonds, check notes.... Also 17 goals. Doesn't fit your narrative. |

My narrative is Ferland has some speed, Simmonds does not. I’m a grit guy, you choose the wrong grit. That’s the narrative. Neither guy would actually need to score goals. Kinda like Prust back in the day |

So you'd pay more for Ferland even though he scores less? Doesn't seem prudent. |

Well yeah since he is on the Isles. Just ugh cause its a horrible contract. But... if you look at it in the light and a certain angle and compare it to Ladds, its a (frank)ing bargain |

Both have grit. One scores at a higher rate then than other. If goal scoring doesn't matter why is there such emphasis placed on the ability to score? So I ask again, why pay for a player that isn't as productive? |

If you could actually read instead of wanting to fight, I said I don’t want Ferland at what he’s gonna cost. So no I don’t want him. I don’t Simmonds either because he’s slow
You are at the point where we can’t even have a conversation with you, and if Jan had a pair of balls he’d ban your IP.
Go visit dead grandpa and tell him the exploits of Simmonds or Ferland |

Crazy that Brock Nelson will be making like $400K less than McKinnon. What a bargain McKinnon is. - TheMessiah94
That's the downfall of not getting a bridge deal....McKinnon gor more earlier, but he has to wait until he's a UFA to get the big $$$ |

You gotta go to comment, hit quote, then copy the quote in formatted text. It's pretty easy. |

Dreger says on TSN1050 that he expects Marner's camp to take negotiations beyond July 1st.
He says he expects the Marner to visit teams starting June 26 in the RFA offersheet interview period.
Dreger says the Leafs will have to make an aggressive offer: 10+,10.5+,11+
