He seems like he could be a decent 3rd liner from the limited time he had here.
If he were to eventually get pushed down to 4th as a result of an improving Sabres roster that would be good for the team overall.

The fact that his family at least seems willing to go to war with Toronto over this scares me a little bit.

That said, I think at even $11 million, you're just doing Toronto's negotiating work for him.

The Ottawa blog suggests the Sens should consider trading for Lucic and getting a pick or a prospect in return...to meet the cap floor. Okposo is about the same.
I'd be surprised if they did something like that given 4 years left.

Smith strikes me as a career AHL player who wont gel in his bottom of the line-up role in the NHL. Many like him over the years. Show some offensive promise in the AHL, never transitions in the big league. Just IMO

I'm sure both will be absolutely thrilled to waive their NTCs (Lucic with NMC) to go to a rebuilding team with a poopbag owner.

It'd be better if you were able to draw off a legitimate sample size, like Bailey and Baptiste. Put him in a position to succeed, give him 30 games.

Buffalo may have the better owners, but the Organization's performance is absolutely no better.

Big offseason for Botts to substantially improve the team. It will be Major Surgery done on an Emergency basis now...not some undersold Roster Surgery completed in due time.

Bang on.
Last season was the tell tale sign for him. Old enough to have a clue, but coaches had to be tough on him to show any kind of pulse. He doesn't have IT.
