big difference
josh busts his hump on every play
tage might be the tallest sissy in the nhl
tage needs to watch 200 or so clips of varada this summer, to learn how to bust it on every shift - homiedclown
How can we forget the young chara, Tyler Meyers?

Great, he was a glorified Tim Tebow. He did all of his damage with his legs mostly against opponents that also had nothing to play for much like the Bills.
Before everyone jumps down my throat, I think Allen has the tools to be a top 10 QB in the NFL but he has a lot of things to work on.
I think Tage can be a useful 15-20 goal middle 6 winger that can use his size and be cost efficient and produce. We can’t spend huge money on the wings with the importance of every other position, a guy with size who scores and outplays his contract could be very useful in a few years. - Pegullaville
If Tage learns to use his size and reach, he'll have a career. The most impressive thing he did with his size this year was accidentally end a player's season through awkwardness on a hit.
Also, Tim Tebow is a poopty baseball player |

That’s utter nonsense - jdfitz77
he is a 15 point a year player that throws his weight around
if pysyk push mowed his yard instead of use a riding mower, he would be the same player |

he had the worst line and wr's and was still productive
and goes all out on every play
so what's tage's excuse even if he had the worst center and winger on his other side?
lack of drive, and scores less then beavis - homiedclown
That’s the thing about potential, it’s worthless if you don’t realize it. He was the best player in the prospect tournament, had small effective stretches of hockey with the big club (but was mostly ineffective), went down to Rochester and was the best player from the time he was sent down all the way through the first round playoff series against the Marlies.
He needs to take this offseason seriously and hit the weight room as everyone could see he was a giraffe on skates. If he can use his size and reach to his advantage and play with confidence I think he will surprise a lot of people. |

but I thought that was the plan last offseason when we got him
kid never should have been promised a spot with the big club, should have had to earn it
lots of kids had a better camp, and he showed no passion whatsoever
I hope he improves this offseason, I really do
it's there for the taking, but he has to earn it |

If the contract part is true here I’d call Skinner’s bluff on this. He think a team is offering him 7 years with a $10.2 million cap hit to match the 9x8 he wants from the Sabres?
I don’t think a team is giving him $9.1 million AAV either tbh to match the 8x8.
He's not wrong. - Der Kaiser

McNabb is a solid top4 defenseman on a good team
Pysyk is a 3rd pair defenseman on a crappy team
He wouldn’t even be in the lineup if he played for Vegas
Defensive defensemen like McNabb shouldn’t be defined by the 15pts they get |

After doing all of this, Thompson should work on speeding up his release, learn to use his body to create space, and understand to go to the high danger areas more. Having a grasp of Kruger’s system will help him process the play quicker and hopefully reduce mistakes. |

He has the power to fix all of those things, it’s up to him. I’m just not writing him off yet because of one season played with ineffective players. |

What about his first year in STL? Also, the point of the post is he doesn't just need to gain weight and strength. He needs to become a better hockey player. Much better.

and his release, his use of his own body, his willingness to go to high danger areas, the speed at which he processes the game, and the number of mistakes he makes: NONE of these have anything to do with who his linemates are. |

Tager was positively allergic the the middle of the ice. He should consider skating toward the slot from time to time. And also, if sent in on the goalie 1-0, try to get a shot off instead of peeling off. |

You mean the 40 games he played mostly in a 3rd to 4th line role similar to the one he had this year ? Some of those nights he played 7 minutes.
He should have spent a lot more time in Rochester this year but that doesn’t mean he can’t turn into the player Botterill and Co. thought they were getting when they traded for him. |
