At PFF, one of our advanced metrics of tracking quarterback play is called adjusted completion percentage, which accounts for drops, throwaways, spikes, batted passes and throws where the QB is hit on his release. Allen ranks last among qualified QBs with a 62.1 adjusted completion percentage, and when he’s under pressure, his adjusted completion percentage plummets to 45.2 percent (he’s the only QB at less than 57.0 percent in terms of adjusted completion percentage under pressure)."
"He’s struggled with his accuracy when targeting players who are in tight coverage: His 39.0 adjusted completion percentage on throws to receivers who are either in tight coverage, have a defender closing in on them or have just a step of separation on their coverage defender also ranks last.
"In relative terms, he’s also been one of the least efficient QBs when it comes to hitting the target when the receiver is either open or wide open, with his 85.0 adjusted completion percentage on those throws ranking 38th. His accuracy struggles don’t really favour any specific depth of the field either, they’ve persisted all over. Allen ranks 32nd among QBs with an 82.1 adjusted completion percentage on throws traveling no more than nine yards in the air; he ranks 37th with a 52.9 adjusted completion percentage on throws traveling between 10 and 19 yards in the air; and he ranks 32nd with a 32.4 adjusted completion percentage on throws traveling 20 or more yards in the air.
"When we break down the throws from those 39 qualified QBs, Allen ranks 37th with 53.9 percent of his passes falling into the accurate bucket (the NFL average is 61.9 percent)."

One is at the beginning, one is coming closer to the end. Tage might not become anything, ROR will just be another guy in a couple of years.
It’s amazing that since they moved him off the top line in the Dallas series m they have figured out how to score 5v5 again. Apart from Game 7 against the Sharks, he has been the symbol of criticism all playoffs long from the media. He has been his regular self since February. I forgot he was even playing in this game tonight until this argument started. - Pegullaville
O’Reilly has more points on the playoffs than Tage had ALL SEASON
You defend the guy who underperformed in Tage
You bash the guy who is a Selke nominee & had a career season
Logic isn’t part of your game plan here apparently |

They took him off the top line because he wasn’t playing well and the top line was terrible.
Tarasenko has averaged a goal per game since being moved with Schemn - OneKaneOneCup
ROR has 14 points in 20 games and is tied for second on the team in scoring this playoffs.

Yup.
He leads the team in secondary assists.
He’s 7th in goals and 5th in primary assists.
He’s always been excellent at racking up those secondary PP assists |

Isn’t it crazy how all of the sudden Tarasenko is on fire and that top line is scoring every game? - OneKaneOneCup
Isn’t it crazy how ROR left the Sabres & had a career year...
While we still suck?!?!

Only goals matter though (if you’re ROR)
For Tage, shot attempts give us warm and fuzzies, because if Tage is trying to shoot the puck the other team isn’t. |

Another silly rhetoric. The guy is playing playoff hockey, IE, what he is good at, IE, BEING ONE OF THE BEST DEFENSIVE FORWARDS IN THE NHL who happened to have a career year this season.
I wasn't a fan of his and I think he is a jamoke but let's be real here, he left the Sabres and got nominated for 2 awards, will probably win one of them, and is 4 games from winning the Stanley Cup.
Meanwhile, Jack Eichel led team America to exactly ZERO medals in a tournament he had to play in because his team is a perennial loser with crap management that has it's head so far up it's collective ass that it came back out of it's own mouth, inside out and suffering, screaming, calling other teams for help. - BeadyEyedDouche
ROR is a -4 in this years playoffs and has been brutal in the faceoff circle. He has 3 goals in 20 games. He has looked good racking up secondary assists though. |

Im not defending his crappy season, I'm just not giving up on his potential. Idc what ROR has done this year, what is he going to be doing in 2021 when the Sabres are actually a viable threat ? Tage might be a 24 YO PWF at that time and ROR could be taking up space on the Blues like Stepan is in Arizona. |

Don’t take our word for it just ask a Blues fan.
He’s been on a milk carton for three series outside of 1 game |

Maybe the reason he busted out the Tage Twirl was to maintain possession? I guess the other team can score if he's spinning around in a circle with the puck... |

That post has no comparison of the players.
It is a comparison of two logically inconsistent takes featuring the players. |

That wasn’t my opinion
It’s a fact that he was laying back in the offensive zone vs the Sharks
That was the StL game plan bc they wanted to have their defensemen attack |
