This is preposterous.

The Sabres had 3 top-6 players - (Skinner, Eichel, Reinhart)

no second line

the 3rd line was 4th liners

plus an amalgam of poopty ride alongs like Sobotka, Tage, Elie, etc.

There was no top pair

2 top-4 dmen

inconsistent goaltending

and poopty coaching. In no way, shape or form was that a playoff roster. Skinner, Eichel, Reinhart and to some extent, Dahlin and Risto, tried to drag the team there kicking and screaming

the attitude of the players and play of the goalie was so different from late november to mid january.. they actually believed they could win in november and then looked so defeated in january.. weak minds/leadership, imo
