LOL @ Sabres. They are destroying their cap over "Meh" players. - RogerRoeper
Lol sabres have 1 bad long term contract, one, not sure what other “meh” players are killing our cap. |

Nylander is a headcase. Screwed the leafs for years to come - The_Price_is_right
Nylander should be traded for a top 4 defenseman. But if he's still in Toronto next season he'll return to his usual point producing self.
Missing the first half of the season hurt him. It would hurt any player. He didn't just become a bad hockey player. He's still a valuable asset which the Leafs can get good value for. They're not getting as much as most Leaf fans think they'll get. But he's still a valuable asset to have. |

I bet that goes down good. Kind of like Chiarelli when he traded with Snow. |

Sick of hearing about the Islanders and goaltending. The Isles don’t need to spend money on a high profile goalie. Mitch Korn and Barry Trotz turned two lumps of coal into diamonds last season. The Islanders need one thing. Skilled offensive players. That’s all we should be hearing about. For everyone who wants to get down on there knees in close proximity to Lamoriello...last year was simply Trotz winning with Snow’s less than adequate roster. If we want to take the next step Lou needs to add some talent. Overpaying for Brock Nelson was a bad start. He’s gonna overpay Lee next who’s vastly overrated. Eberle will leave. Giving 4th liner Uncle Leo big bucks was unnecessary last year. You left us hanging at the deadline. I’m hoping to see something this summer. We all are |

What would JGs value have been if he was traded. Leafs were not in win nowmode. Another wave of players gone with no return. - BALUCHA
Yes they were, and are, in win now mode. They should have got past Boston. |

No one is taking okposo with his reoccurring eye injury, that's why the islanders didn't even offer him a contract. |

If brock walked we had no center depth
According to graziano latest article on Twitter (I think hes with wfan) he said the division on isles and Lee is term length. I. Sure isles want 7.7 by 4 or 5 and Lee wants 8 year deal
I dont care about what he did/didnt do at the deadline. Besides trading for duchene, panarin, stone there wasent really any other ufas I'd over pay to get. Also islanders arent exactly in win now mode...yes obviously this was the easiest trip to the cup they would probably ever see but who saw talpa going down in 4
Let lou GM hes not garth |

When does the more to come on game 3 come? Desperately waiting to see which team has more hunger. Buzztron had 27 inputs but now Ek sums up everything with 4 key factors that each have different point systems. It's pretty remarkable stuff. |

Toronto would do it but I don't think Nashville would. |

Added to your point with Dahlens’ deal on the horizon - 8 x 10 and so and Skinner perhaps being resigned @ 8x8 or so how are they going to afford Jake @ 7 or so ??
Easily.
Moulson $5 mill
Skinner $5.75 mill
Pominville $5.3 mill
That’s over $16 mill coming off this offseason. That’s without adding Girgensons, Larsson, Rodrigues, McCabe to the equation.
Next offseason we have...
Bogosian $5.14 mill
Scandella $4 mill
Reinhart $3.65 mill
Sobotka $3.5 mill
Sheary $3 mill
Montour $3.38 mill
That should be over $20 mill coming off the books there.
We have plenty of cap space. Not to mention the cap increase every year.

One??
Let's start with paying Jack 10 mil a year. He's not put in a $10 mil year yet. 4 seasons and this guy has exactly 1 hatty. Derek Roy wants $10 mil a year too for scoring 80 points on a garbage team. |

You still need to fill out a roster though.. they're going to want to keep Sheary, Reinhardt, and Montour at least. They're all probably going to get a raise. Sheary especially is on a team friendly deal big time. |

Eberle to the Habs would make a lot of sense, we are kinda thin on the right side, that would allow us to slide Gallagher to the 2nd line much healthier top 6 with Eberle
