I’ve never wanted neither team to win as badly as this year

It would be horrible to trade Risto for ANYTHING less then a 60+ 24/25 yr old forward with controlled Contract. Unless they Overpay, No Soup For You!

We almost got Paryako for ROR

$2.25 per x 4 years.

Sabres have 0 value contracts other than Dahlin and Reinhart. That deal will be a steal in years 3 and 4

- jcragcrumple

For E Rod???
I like him, but that’s a bit much
Especially if we are projecting him as a 4th liner long term

Pay him 1.5mil instead,
and there’s the extra 750k for Skinner

Ugh
That would’ve been great
I think StL took him off the table when we wanted them to pay the bonus

I would question the direction of this team if we signed Jake Gardner

Blues allowed 3 straight PP goals.

They could use a Selke caliber player on the PK

- sbroads24

They have one, we gave him away for practically nothing.

Would you trade 2 bad contracts (say Kyle Okposo and whomever), a B level prospect, pick 30, and a 2nd in 3 years years for 27 year old center that put up 77 points?

That trade was disastrous.

No GM would trade a solid #2C with Mitts as the #3 unless he was forced to by ownership. We were in great shape at center. Strange things were afoot at what ever our arena is called now a days.

I highly doubt he was forced to trade Ryan O'Reilly.

Sorry, but the only trade that Botts as come out on top has been the Skinner. All the rest have ranged from misses to massive misses.

I dont even know how someone would bring up O'Reilly like it was a good move at this point.

Why would any sensible GM trade ROR for what he got in return?
He either wanted to dump the contract or was forced to by ownership.
Sabres would have been decent with Eichel/ROR/Mitts up the middle this year.

The player wanted out.............

The owner knew and said I’m not paying the bonus.

It isn’t that hard to understand.

Sh!tty deal either way.

If that is your argument, why would a sensible owner force a trade?

I’ll play...

18-19 season

Boston’s 4th line
Nordstrom(12pts)-Kuraly(21pts)-Accari(14pts)
Total- 47pts

Sabre’s 4th line
Girgs(18pts)-Larsson(14pts)-RW rotated
*but I’ll just say Sobatka bc he sucks (13pts)
Total- 45pts

Hmmmmm....

That’s so weird... how do u explain it?

Maybe it’s just a ridiculously small sample size?
Idk though
I’m sure next season they’ll all be ppg players like in the first 3games of the Cup

5 years. Amazing what people will do for money.

19 - 20 prediction: Jack Eichel puts in another "dominant" Derek Royesque 80-point campaign, yet the team still can't remove themselves from the cellar. The dreaded 81-point barrier, which the team hasn't broken since they tanked for the 3rd or 4th best player in his draft, will not be broken this coming season either.

You mean a 27 year old center who had posted 61, 55, and 60 points the last 3 years?

Unless you has a crytal ball, how did you know he was going to tie a career high in goals and set new career highs in assists and points (by a good margin)?
