It is absolutely ridiculous in here.
Question was asked what should a $10m player produce.
Answer was given as 100 pts and solid 2-way play.
Additional clarification was given that as Captain, I expect more leadership.
I also added was that he is young and developing his game and leadership skills.
That's it.
Then Gerbe extended it to say I was saying trade him.
Good God, talk about a complete fabrication, fake news...just plain stupid.
Ya, he is overpaid right now for his production, 2 way game and leadership.
In 2 - 3 years I bet he will be underpaid...it's called development.
How that poop storm of Matthews comparison, and what if he played on other teams started is beyond me, and frankly I couldn't care less about it. I also don't really care about drinking and partying on, until it affects production and leadership. The later is what tends to take a hit...I believe Ralphie-boy will help in that regard a ton. - IonSabres
it will be an interesting off season
but I thought the same for the last 2 years

the stories espo would tell
oh my they were priceless - homiedclown
Espo was the biggest off ice character the NHL ever knew. Would be fun to go drinking with him and get some old stories |

I’m commenting on your roller coaster of responses which finish with you attacking the people who are trying to understand what your saying.

It should get very interesting over the next 3 weeks, leading up to the draft and FA courting period. |

Sure.
Does that then mean he has ABSOLUTELY NO GROWTH in his game?
As a leader?
People need to read better and not take criticism of a young player still developing as some form of hate.
Ridiculous actually. - IonSabres
This advice could go for all the sammers as well.
They seem a little thin skinned.
My response was at homie. Not you.
We all can grow up a little, John Jack included. |

Let me rephrase. Name me a prominent player in any sport on a bad team that isn't.
They made the playoffs his only year as a starter.
Every other year he was a backup. |

trade jack he sux - TheSabresTaco
Et tu Taco?
Wonder what we could get, lol.
Eichel to NJ for 1-OA
Dahlin to Rags for 2-OA
Risto to Chic for 3-OA
Reinhart to Avs for 4-OA
Skinner to LA for 5-OA
Mitts to Detroit for 6-OA
1-Kakko ( just to piss Hughes off and get him into prove it phase for his career, like Thurman)
2-Hughes
3-Turcotte
4- Cozens
5-Caufield
6- Byram
7-Boldy
Use Cap savings to round out the D and Bottom 6 with some veteran presence.
My work is done here.

There's not going to be a lockout. The owners have been on the right side of the court of public opinion for the last 2 of them. They're not going to be this time around with the constant vilification of "the rich" in today's society, and they know it. Plus, the NHL's TV contract is up for renewal in 2020-2021. Both the owners and the Union know they would be committing financial suicide. |

looking at the roster, the cap and the track record
team might be better off trading eichel for hughes and maybe a pick
reinhart for a young d man
risto for a mid first and a second
build the team around dahlin, hughes, casey and the returns for sam and risto
murray really screwed this roster, and it's clear botts is not turning it around in 3 years
