I'm sure Jack hasn't reached the Messier level of leadership at the age of 22 yet (WOW!!!!) but, after speaking to a few of these guys on the team on random occasions, there really isn't a guy that wants to win more.

Your question can only be answered with an opinion. And that opinion changes with every move the team makes. It also changes with the emergence and failures of prospects.

A better question is, do I have confidence that Jason Botterill can accomplish success with this core group of players. I say yes in that time frame. We all know there's more than enough work that needs to be done to achieve that goal.

He’s not mature on the ice ? Lol He was the only one talking to players after plays unlike Housley . So he yells at the coaching staff? Who cares star players do that

Don't. Trade. Your. Top. Talent.

Whyt he (frank) are we so allergic to talented players. Great teams have great depth. Having a couple good players does not make your team good. Saying "well Eichel and Sam didn't get anything done" is ridiculous. This team was scorched during a time where the last significant player we drafted was Thomas Vanek ten years earlier, and he was used for the rebuild ffs. We drafted like ass for the better part of the current century.

You want your scapegoat? There it is. Don't blame two players that score a cumulative 140 points a season.

You can have the best bottom six in the league, and it won't matter if your top six isn't formidable. The Sabres are getting close to the point where it's finally starting to matter.

Agreed. I'm not going to stand here and say just fix the bot 6 and we're elite. We still need pieces in our top 6. But our bot 6 (9) was... raahlly raahllly bad.

Analytics are even more important for your bot 6 guys. You want to grab a bunch of guys who can have a positive impact in the defensive end, and that's pretty uncommon. There's some nice free agents out there that can play those roles. Keeping goals out is paramount for a team who can't really put goals in.
