it's crazy when you think of all the top 10 picks the sabres and oilers have had, and they are left with jack and dahlin being the oilers mcjesus and dras
both team have whiffed on picks
bad contracts
goalie issues
bad bottom half of the roster
turmoil behind the bench |

Once you draft a guy, he needs to be traded for draft picks. Cause they suck and are immature.
Draft picks will make the Sabres elite.
We should be trading anyone older than 20. - TheSabresTaco

It would seem that Botts has been a tad slow to "give the man some help". His message to Jack would more accurately described to be "wait for my draft picks to develop". |

Who cares he’s 22 do you keep tabs on every single player in the National Hockey League ? Hey maybe the Colorado Avalanche should trade Nathan MacKinnon then because he drinks a lot |

Well, sure. But all great teams have drafted well. All of them.
The Sabres have largely failed at drafting outside the 1st round since 2002. Hence, we suck. We finally may have a decent streak of drafts starting with a couple from Murray's era (14 with Olofsson, 15 with Borgen, 16 with Asplund) and Bott's 2 drafts (remains to be seen, but 2017 class seems to be developing very well, way too early for 2018) so, we'll see.
Darcy brought us Ullmark and McCabe in 2012, busted with his 1sts. Compher is a nice player, thanks Murray. 2004-2011 has been utterly useless for this franchise. Couple bottom half players mixed in. Backup goalies. Small trade pieces. Our failures can all be broken down from atrocious drafting. |

Depressing and true. If he is the fierce competitor most believe him to be, then how many more tank years is he going to want to sit through? Jack might feel that his own desire to win exceeds his boss'. |

That could certainly be argued for. He started with Skinner though. And hoped Berglund would be a nice transitional center. Picked up Sheary for depth. Snagged Montour instead of developing that late 1st. This is a major offseason, we're still in the developing phase with a lot of our promising prospects, but he knows what needs to be done to be competitive, which he now needs to be. |

Godspeed to anyone willing to hang around for another summer of "trade the drunk center" - jcragcrumple
I may have flagged you accidently, sorry if so
Isn't funny that all who are ridiculing the Trade Jack posters, are in fact those trade Jack Posters theselves!!!
With the exception of my tongue in cheek post to trade everyone for draft pics, I have NEVER even suggested they should trade Jack.
Talk about puting words in someone mouth.
Fvckin Gerbe, take it out on him, he's the only one who mentioned trade Jack.

I’m not shocked he’s probably mad that Jack Hughes will Take away his lightning just like the Oilers did with Connor McDavid

Could be anything, I highly doubt it's because a great player is coming. Could be location, could be market, could be long term vision of the team. If anything, adding Hughes should be a bonus for him. Oh well. Risto for Hall |

He sent a very sour text to Connor McDavid when he was first drafted I remember that he just seems like a player that wants to be the face |

This is the same reporter who said the devil's were finalists for dehaan.....the devil's didn't have an offer out for dehaan
The article from the 4th period has quotes from his agent saying that they have been in good communication with Shero and that he can't talk about contract status (can't sign anything until July 1st either way) |

Cole Caufield could be too talented for Sabres to pass up at NHL Draft
http://www.buffalohockeyb...-to-pass-up-at-nhl-draft/ - gerbe75pts
I'll admit he's growing on me. For these young kids I think attitude matters quite a bit, his interview on the Instigators (??? not sure if that was it but heard a clip) where he was very well spoken, talked a lot about needing a higher compete to get around his vertical challenges...seemed like a good kid.
You know who I want, but if it's him, I'll still be very excited. |
