when did Laine get 45 goals in a season, let alone 50

sell the farm and pay laine 10 mil for his 30 goals last season

but don't pay skinner who got 40 last year, on a worse team

44 is just about 45 and close to 50, so...you know...

that said, his worst of three seasons came last year and it was 30 goals...he averaged 37 goals in his first three seasons...

I seriously doubt a line of skinner, eichel and laine would get 120 goals and laine was demoted to the 3rd line for his lack of effort

Eichel would score 10 goals the whole season playing with two one dimensional scorers the whole season and people would cry about how he isn’t worth $10M a year.

point taken...i'm in on skinner at $9m and hope they can get him for a little less or a little less term...

as for his demotion...

One had 64 goals in his 1st 3 seasons the other has 110.

Neither play well in their own end

One is 6 yrs older than the other.

IMO less risk in ones play falling off the face of the earth in a long term deal for the younger fella. He shot a very low percentage compared to his 1st two seasons.

Malkin and Wild Bill are going to cost assets and Duchene is gonna cost you 9ish possibly + on a 7 yr deal.

Malkin and Duchene puts us right back to the old “How many 9+ million dollar players can one team afford?”.
