Olofsson has absolutely played both wings in Rochester and Sweden

No idea. He was solidly in the top5 before, now looking like he could slip into the teens.

Not sure what's going on.

I think he'd be a nice match for the Wings.

Yes.. he did.

I actually just looked and didn't even realize he had potted 30 goals in Rochester this season. Wow.

Don't trust listings. He plays almost exclusively LW at even strength and switches on the PP. He's extremely unlikely to switch sides in the NHL.

I'm fine with him at LW... whether it be next to Jack or next to 2C.

I'm curious of what side Mitts could be better off playing a wing on.

I still say we sign a guy like Marcus Johansson who can play wing and center seamlessly... Let Mitts start on his wing... swap in for some faceoffs and d-zone stuff when needed.. .then once Mitts is ready it's not like we will have this plethora of Centers and need to trade one.. we can just move MJ out to LW or RW.

Not really on board with Mitts at wing, but he certainly looks more like a LW to me.

I mean to be honest.... that first year by Mitts reminded me a lot of Samson at C his first year. Look at how much better Samson's career changed in terms of projection at wing. I absolutely want Mitts to be a 2C but if they insist on him being in Buffalo then they need to put him in a position to succeed and gain confidence.

Cole Caufield could be too talented for Sabres to pass up at NHL Draft

I keep seeing/hearing conflicting reports about his speed

Some say he has top end speed
Some say he is a good skater, but lacks that top end speed

Anyone see this kid play enough to have an opinion?

I haven’t seen all that much of him
But one of my best friends is a Rochester season ticket holder and has said he’s seen both Olofsson & Nylander play LW & RW

Maybe they’re more successful on one side than the other...
but they at least appear versatile enough to play both sides

When (if) they come up to the Sabres,
it’ll probably be best to put them on whichever side they’re most comfortable
Just like Dahlin can play the right side,
but we kept him almost exclusively on the left

That doesn’t necessarily have to be the wing though

I think Sam physically struggled to play against bigger, better, faster centers. Mitts had his issues, but I was impressed with how he battled. I'd keep him at C.

Thought the same myself. Him or Byram.

With Veleno and Zadina on the way, I think Byram might be it, but if they go forward, I could see it.

just because he is listed as such, doesn't mean he has actually played it.

now I'm not saying he did or didn't actually play RW, just made the comment on the listing is all
