So I’m hearing Little and a mid round pick/prospect for Phaneuf. Not bad a bad long term deal if so Chevy

I would be looking at Nashville for a major trade.

Laine and Trouba to Nashville

Coming back

P.K. Subban, Colton Sissons, Mikael Granlund, Nashville 1st and 4th

Then fire Paul Maurice.

Something big seems to be coming. I doubt PeeMo will be the coach come September

I have a few minutes so why not throw a bunch of feces at the wall and see what sticks, to be clear, IM NOT Saying I’d do these just asking;

-Malkin and Maata for Connor and Trouba
-Connor and Kulikov for Pesce or Hamilton
-Roslovic and kulikov for Kadri and Zaitsev
-Trouba for howden, skyei and 20th
-Trouba for Ghost or Nolan Patrick and 11th
-Hamonic for appleton and 3rd rounder
-Chris Tanev for appleton and 3rd rounder

Maybe Trouba for Patrick and 11th. Sorry, I'm not a fan of the rest of the potential deals.
See speculation that Patrik wants $10 mill. Seriously! So Scheifele would play for $6 .1 mill and Patrik for $10 mill? Wouldn't want to see how that would play out in Jets room!
My fantasy trade is Laine, Trouba (signed), Comrie and Perrault to Florida for Ekblad, Trocheck, Borgstrom and 13th overall pick.

Colorado will be in the same boat contract wise between MacKinnon and Raantanen, but I don't see Laine getting his 10 mil from us. I think Laine signs 6 years at 8.5 - 9 per

I truly think if Philly signs Hayes in the next week or so we could see a multi player trade with them.
in order of most likely to land Trouba IMO;
Philly
NYR
Det
Fla
Devils

Agree with you about Philly, possibly multi player deal, just wonder why, if so, they wouldn't do it all at once.
Flor, Philly, Det, Car and possibly Toronto are my most likely Jets trade teams. Just don't see a fit between the Jets and Rangers/Devils - not a good match for players that might come back to the Jets.

Jets starting contract talks with Myers, again.
Brace yourselves, winter is coming

In all seriousness, I have no problem giving him 3mil per year for 3 years. Sadly he will get 6x6. One guy who will be happy will be Bryan Little as this will easily become our worst contract.

Hoping Myers signs soon. His contract will be just as good as Laine's.

We can disagree about these two till the cows come home but over spending an a 20year old with massive potential and upside will always be better than overspending on a 30 year old on the down side of his career.
Not sure how you can disagree with that.

Laine Pros:
1. Great Shot
2. Accepts responsibility for poor play
3. Great at playing video games and trolling other teams online

Laine Cons:
1. Dose not make players around him better
2. Does not forcheck or back check
3. Lazy Skater
4. Does not create his own offence, looks for teammates to set him up.
5. Wants a long-term contract for 10 million a season despite never scoring a point per game.
6. Consistently has Corsi numbers that are below 50, they get worse as he gets older.
7. He is not hard on the puck and is atrocious at bringing the puck into the offensive end.
8. Does not use his size. He should be our leader in hits. It’s embarrassing that a guy like Perreault is outhitting Laine.
9. Poor offseason training.

Only three other players had more goals at Laine’s age. Gretzky, Hawerchuk and Carson. Laine is more like Carson than Hawerchuk and Gretzky.

If I missed anything, I am sure someone will help us out.

He is 20 years old!!!!!!!!!!!! Shiefele couldn’t stand on his own two feet at 20 and was still in Barrie!!!!!!!!!
Arguing Myers is a better investment than Laine is.........I can’t write anything without being extremely rude so I’ll take the high road

For the record I am in favour of adding Kadri, not discussing any trade scenarios just in general.

Where did I say that Myers would be a better investment? I said both contracts will be equally as good.

Scheifele recognized he had to get better at age 18 and I would argue he's gotten better every season after. He has not had a significant down year, like our buddy Laine.

Laine has been given more opportunity than Schiefele was at age 20, and yet dipped in his production. Laine is really good at having one hot streak per year as well. I forgot to add that earlier.

Kadri would be a good add. As always it depends on what we give up.

The difference is there was a willingness by Scheifele to fully commit to becoming an elite player and put the WORK in to do it. Laine has clearly not shown the work ethic of Scheifele yet - not even close

Either way Pete, I’m told it’s close to 100% that Little is gone, which makes sense considering the upcoming Kadri for Trouba and Roslovic deal.

How do you know? Do people have a 24hour camera on him in Finland? No!!!! It amuses me how little people think of Laine’s training or lack thereof without actually knowing. Newsflash, people do train with someone other than Oates or Roberts

Someone just posted this on twitter and I agree 1000%.
Incoming Trouba trade, Ehlers on the block, resigning Myers and Chairot. Wow, this can ugly in a hurry.

My take if all the above happen, window closed.
Obviously I’ll hold out closing the window until I see trade returns but seriously I understand Trouba but trading Ehlers, resigning Myers and Chairot, are you kidding me!!!!!!
