Yeah, I get that. They have to play an extra D if they are playing both of them or if they are playing just one of them IMO.

If they play 7 D and they have to really shelter either of their minutes, they are going to be shorthanded on defense as well as offense. Very risky, especially with how the Blues play.

I keep trying to strip the Backes history out of watching him play in the series. Other than the ongoing battle he has had with Blais all series and Petro clearing him out of the crease in the scrum, has Backes really done anything? Playing less than 10 minutes a game, barely averaging a shot a game, not sure he has been on the ice for a goal. Would they lose that much sitting him?
