wouldn't it be great if the Leafs did acquire Trouba so we can all move on from the guy?
- jimbro83

As a Rangers fan, I would hate to see Toronto acquire ANY legit defensemen because that is the only thing holding them back at this point.
This trade looks really "questionable" ----- why would Jets want to help out rival Leafs so much?

I could see Devils using their 3 second round picks trying to get back into first round to have a crack at Knight if he really starts dropping

coming out of this draft with Hughes and Knight for them would be huge day

- jimbro83

I think the Devils will be looking to get another first round pick too. It makes sense, they have so many picks like us in the first 3 rounds, I don't see them drafting them all...

Just like rumor #9407 that the Sens are going to be sold and the one saying that Karlsson is going to return to Ottawa

Kadri is good though

back to back 32 goal season before last year, but them signing Tavares put Kadri in different role

4.5 mil cap hit for Kadri on the Jets for 3 years is very nice

Not a chance.

It's NHL, AHL or Liiga for him.

No deal. Markus Lehto agent for Puljujarvi provided TSN with this response. “Jesse is in Edmonton rehabbing and training. He feels great. NHL is the first option”.

I'd take a Flyer on him, especially with Kakko

I mean jesus...the Oilers couldn't possibly get much at this point. He's rehabbing a serious injury, his offensive production is dogpoop (not blaming that all on him), and he's pretty openly-unhappy there. I don't even know. If I were Lamoriello, I'd offer them something like Ho Sang and a mid-round pick. Maybe that's not enough but I'm not giving up real assets for him.

I think it's absolutely worth rolling the dice on him for a 2nd, especially a team like the Rangers that has multiple second rounders. The payoff could be massive and the chances of a 2nd round pick being a full-time NHL'er are pretty low, relatively speaking.

He really wouldn't have a place with the team though. I can't imagine him being open to a spot in the Hartford, and I don't see him being a fit on the 4th line. Unless we really are going to trade Strome/Names which could open up a spot higher in the lineup.

yeah, I'd count on a lot of player movement up front, it would be step 1

Yeah maybe throw something like Vesey and a 2nd out there.

Unrelated, but man...the Rangers are going to have some serious work to do after this year. Only four forwards signed beyond the upcoming season (as of now). Obviously that'll change in FA but that's wild

Again, cue sad music for TPC, we would almost have to trade Kreider then right? Or should we wait to see how the Panarin sweepstakes pans out. Obviously, if we don't get him then Jesse could fit in the top 9. Otherwise, you'd have to trade Strome and Kreider for sure just to free up a spot for him.

yep, we are a blank slate, which is kind of good with an expansion draft coming up
