yep, we are a blank slate, which is kind of good with an expansion draft coming up
- jimbro83

They're going to need some sort of cannon fodder for that draft to meet the minimum GP requirements for exposed players. I could see them losing a guy like Skjei, although that could obviously change over the next two years.

and where this team has been the past few years, im glad this turnover is happening now. i couldnt be happier w/ the position they are in relative to the past 2 years - getting 2 obviously helps

Yeah maybe throw something like Vesey and a 2nd out there.

Unrelated, but man...the Rangers are going to have some serious work to do after this year. Only four forwards signed beyond the upcoming season (as of now). Obviously that'll change in FA but that's wild

Again, cue sad music for TPC, we would almost have to trade Kreider then right? Or should we wait to see how the Panarin sweepstakes pans out. Obviously, if we don't get him then Jesse could fit in the top 9. Otherwise, you'd have to trade Strome and Kreider for sure just to free up a spot for him.

a lot of you guys are always posting about how you'd like RNH but I think if it came down to it, I'd prefer Kadri

3 more years very good cap hit of 4.5 mil

But I wouldn't want to take back other high priced money like Zaitsev to facilitate a deal

Id rather Willy Karlsson over any other center.

I really think he’s gonna be a Ranger

Edit: he may have ties to JD, being in CBJ briefly

Yeah his ties to JD are probably "Good job exposing me in the expansion draft. How'd that work out for you, dumbass"

Seemed like a guy they didn’t wanna lose tho, but had no choice. That happen to a lot of teams.

I'm only half-joking, but in hindsight they probably should've left Wennberg exposed. I get why they did what they did, but regardless of justification it looks pretty bad in retrospect.

They blew the Rangers selection. Not saying Grabner woulda made a huge difference, but Lindberg barely played for them so far. He may be on a different team even idk

Yeah that was a pretty bad choice. Might've been an age and/or cost thing, but Lindberg stinks.
