After all this injury prone talk, most of which is BS, you want them to trade for Chychrun? In his 3 year career he's missed 75 games. EK who people fret is injury prone has missed 45 games in the last 6 seasons |

Friedman mentioned that Haydn Fleury may need to be moved this offseason...he'd be cheap but hasn't done anything yet after being a high draft pick |

Yes sign him if the price is right but his 11 million dollar days are over unless he earns it with bonuses
If we could get him at 8 - 9 guaranteed plus bonus money if he performs above expectations (like numbers comparable to before he was injured) i'm in! |

Not a thing, really good defensive C, but with Domi, Kotkaniemi, Poehling and Suzuki in the fold where is Danault gonna play in 2 years? And who else has value on the team that they could trade for a good LD? |

Poehling could be a better 3rd line C and Suzuki more than likely ends up on the wing |

assuming they sign ek, I would trade Petry for a LD way before Danault. or Drouin for that matter.
Danault will play center for the Habs for many years imo. yes he'll move down to 3rd line whenever kk is ready to move up. no problem.
Poehling and Suzuki have not made the team yet. and they can both can play wings. |

Most teams trading for Petry would be in contention right now, unlikely they trade you a top 6 F, chances are it would be 2 separate trades and that would be fine...
And they can all play the wing but for a team that had no C for years, why would they push a bunch of good C to the wing to make room for a 3rd line C? Suzuki I understand, being smaller and a right handed shot, it would make sense but no reason to move Poehling, what's next? Turn Kotkaniemi into a winger to make sure Danault stays in the top 6 forever? |

what if the other team have a surplus of LD and are looking for a RD? and you can be sure Petry will bring back a good return, contender or not.
and Danault is a good 2way C, why push him out for a rookie? that's not the way it works. kids will have to prove they're better than Danault to steal his spot. if they do, good for them. MB will trade Danault. but I don't see that happenning anytime soon. |

You're not really pushing him out for a rookie... you're trading him to address a need... how are they gonna acquire a D if the idea of trading a 3rd line C as part of a package to get him is out of the question?
I suppose a team with lots of LD looking for RD could work, any particular team in mind? |

I don't know,
I just know that usually, teams are always looking for RD. they even play lefthanded dmen on the right side, see Benn, see Brodie... not the opposite.
RD are rare, so we may assume trading Petry for a LD should not be that difficult. |

Last I checked Danault played 1 C last year and very well at that, pivoting one of the top 5 on 5 lines in the league. Suzuki hasn't done a thing in the NHL and Poehling had one amazing game, but it was one game, playing 4th line LW. Danault is the Habs Rodney Dangerfield on a fantastic contract for what he contributes |

He did very well as a #1 C? He played in 81 games and managed to score in 8 of them, maybe your expectations of a #1 C are different from mine |
