Interesting, lots of people have Lavoie in the 1st half of the 1st round... but I've seen very little of these guys, if at all, so I really couldn't tell ya.... I would personally go with one of the many LD that are ranked around there... that would be the big plus side to grabbing Karlsson's rights before the draft, Petry gets you another 1st round pick no doubt.... to get Karlsson and 2 players from the top 20-25 to add to this prospect pool would immediately put them in a great spot moving forward with so many options

but like I said I saw Lavoie on tv the other night, and even thoug he had the guts to come out and say I want to be drafted by MTL, he seems a bit shy, don't talk much. that tells me that maybe he won't sell himslef as well as others and could wait a little at the draft. plus he's french.

I'd bet on them taking him if he's there, to be honest, I wouldn't be disappointed one bit and I'd be cheering for the kid no different than I have been for Suzuki and Poehling, just want this team to succeed, no matter where the players are from... he has a lot of things going for him and obviously passionate about the city and team, he would add another dimension to an already good looking young F group
