I'm guessing the goal with some is to save money, sure no problem. Let Skinner walk and keep Girgensons, Larsson and Wilson. Use Erod is 2nd line center and keep good old Remi Elie.

I'm not going to lose any sleep if they don't sign Skinner, Duchene would be on this team already if Botterill thought we had any chance at the playoffs this year. But why give up assets for nothing.

I'd like to have Duchene but, how many players can you pay 8-10 mill a year and stay productive year after year. Pretty soon 9-10 mill a year will be the new norm.

1 cup frozen peas (thaw them first)
4 hard boiled eggs chopped
3/4 cup chopped green onions
2 medium tomatoes diced bite size pieces
6 slices bacon cooked crisp and crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup mayonnaise (Nothing but Hellmann's is acceptable)
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
salt and pepper for sprinkling

Mix this mess together and just start chowing down.

Why is it limited to only Duchene?

There are other options. Trades, for instance. No one knows who Botts likes in the trade market. There are dozens of possibilities, so why keep limiting it to just Duchene? Is there a cheaper, comparably skilled center to be had in the trade market? I bet there is.
