As rosters sit right now, you rather have Leafs roster or Isles?
- BoBBeR56

If the Isles played in the Atlantic, they might not even make the playoffs. They play in the horrendous metro though.

With 3rd C usage and TOI.... Best in the NHL. Last 2 seasons used as 2nd line C-31 goals each year.

You guys are embarrassing yourselves.

- RogerRoeper

Sure. 31 goals is in the past. Is Thomas Vanek a 40 goal scorer? Well he used to be. So he must be now. I expect more than 44 points from a second line centre. You said all the stats support Kadri being one. Yet you can't cite one. It's not my fault you're a clueless Moron.

Frans Nielsen. 3rd line centre. 10 goals. 25 assists. 35 points. Apparently Kadri's 9 more points makes him a second line centre.
- gergeswillems

You realize Kadri would have been 5th on the Isles in points last year right? And played 9 less games than every one ahead of him.
Isles 2nd line C, Nelson has 133 pts in last 3 years. Kadri has 160.

You're looking silly calling Kadri a 3rd line C.

Did the Isles move to the Atlantic? Why do Leafs fans spend so much time talking about the Isles? I thought maybe they were now division rivals or something

He scored 44 as a 3rd line C...how quickly you forget he had JT and AM in front of him for ice time. When JT wasn't around and he was playing 2nd line mins, he was at 55 and 61...avging 32g and 58pts...

What's that say about the Isles then if the Leafs 3rd line C would be 5th on Isles in scoring...

Nielson actually was used more than Kadri last year.
- RogerRoeper

Nielsen is garbage. Kadri isn't. He should score more than 9 more points than he did. Neilsen played 73 games.

In other news, I'd love to see the Leafs trade Kadri.

I think Ryan Getzlaf would suit the third line C role far better.

Of course, with a cap hit of $8M, for a 48 point player, Anaheim would have to throw in some picks and retain 50% of salary and cap hit.

What does it say about the Leafs if the Isles won a playoff round and they didn't? After adding Tavares.

Isles. They can play defense. Leafs are the pond hockey champions.

It says that the Leafs played the 2nd best team in the reg season, and then team from the East in the SCF. Isles were the higher seed vs the Pens...
So...Isles were favored to win their series, Leafs were underdogs?

I agree no way they could hang with the Senators, Sabres & Red Wings. 5 out of the 8 playoff teams came from the Metro but yeah its a terrible division

Division winner would rank 3rd in points, but you add all those games against Tampa, Boston, and Toronto, and they'd easily drop down.

Uh..he had 44 points because he was on the third line behind two guys averaging a point a game. If he was given 2nd line minutes it would have been another 50 point season for him. And for the record he scored 30 and had 57 points on the 6th ranked team the year before. He is am established 2nd line center and to say otherwise is dumb.

Leaf fans are just pi$$ed they haven't won a playoff round the past few years.

At least they can make fun of the bad teams like mine and feel good about themselves. I've mostly stuck up for the Leafs the past few years but it's getting ridiculous now. Dubas can move both Marleau and Kadri. But it won't be easy. Kadri does have value but no team is going to overpay for him. The Leafs remind me of the Red Wings before they figured out that you have to play defense to win in the playoffs.

From 93-96 the Red Wings dummied teams on skill alone. But they'd struggle in the playoffs and make excuses why they lost. Will the Leafs figure it out? Maybe. But they can't keep hoarding forwards and thinking that bragging about their offensive depth will translate into playoff success. Boston and Tampa are in your division. They're not going anywhere. Deal with it. Beat them.
