Detroit? The worst team in the NHL? 😂 Sure. Kadri would slot in as a #2 centre. That's not saying much given the Red Wings horrible roster. On a good team a second line centre should score more than 44 points.

Are you really this daft? There are maybe like 5 teams that he isn't a 2nd line center...and that's only because said teams have 2 guys who could be first line centers...the leafs being one of them. And you do realize that when your top 2 centers are Tavares and Matthews, that your usual 50 to 60 point production may take a hit. Seriously man, stop trolling.

He's a solid number 2 center on a contender. Pretending he isn't, is like pretending Tavares or Matthews are second liners. But you probably think that anyways. And you asked if he was so good why are the leafs looking at trading him....they are up against the cap and he's wasted on the third line as you so eloquently keep reminding us with his 44 point season. For a guy coming off a 60 and 57 point, back to back 30 goal seasons...its obvious that his production was hurt being stuck behind Tavares and matthews.

Why wasn't Kadri traded last summer then? If he's a second line centre on a contender he should've been easy to trade. But then again the Leafs do like hoarding forwards. It's impressive to look at. If hasn't won them anything in the playoffs.

Probably because they weren't screwed with the cap then, weren't sure how having 3 centers like they had would work out. And nylander was holding out. That said, we will see how this offseason shakes out following the back to back 7 game series losses to the Bruins.
