I'll be curious to see what a summer of training does for Mittelstadt, as well as who the other center they bring in will be. Could get a tad more production out of him. They have to bring in another center, right? - jcragcrumple
I would assume so yes. One that can hold his own defensively at the very least. |

Anders Lee? - mhp
Interesting.
Good production
Good intangibles
Not young, not old
Depends on cost and term.
Problem us with these UFA's at 2C is in years 3 + when hopefully Mitts mans the 2C position.

Not sure if this was mentioned or not but it really stood out to me that Ralph Kreuger was all alone on stage during his press conference. I think Bylsma and housley both had people with them. To me that’s a sign of strength for our new coach and speaks volumes to me. - Carubba-Kaleta

The argument, to me, isn't who is better, but the only reason a team acquires Callahan is to get another asset or two that is good in order to clear cap space for Tampa that Callahan is eating.
So any argument has to include the other asset as well imo.
Callahan + something good
Or
Simmonds - jcragcrumple
Well said
Pretty obvious what the better choice is |

Yeah and much better possession numbers than Risto...by a long shot - Stripes77
What were possession numbers for Jack,
vs Schieffle & vs Little
Just curious
I bet the Winnipeg guys had better numbers |

I’m not sure I would.
I not interested in helping a team in my division get out of cap jail.
Again I want zero to do with either player.
I’d go after Brett Connolly instead, same type player, and shouldn’t break the bank. In saying that he is a UFA and I’m guessing some GM will over pay for him al la Clarkson. - dadeadhead
Why shouldn’t we take advantage of the situation and get a good player out of it???
It’s not like Tampa will be screwed if we don’t take Cally
Someone is going to help bail them out |
