There had to be a reason for it. Either they ARE close and he REALLY thinks they can get it done, or he has no clue. I doubt he's gotten this far if he's clueless.

The Draft started yesterday, 1-Hughes to NJD.
2 was supposed to be this morning, but I didn't see it as of 2 hours or so ago, so going g 1 per day until mid-point is what I heard them say...so probably mid-next week.

Our Survey said
-Position of Need = Center, then RW, then Rhd
-Desired Attributes = Sniper, Skating , 200' Game
-Least Desired = Playmaker, Compete, Physicality
-Prospect Rankings were
○Hughes, Kakka, Turcotte, Byram, Cozens, Dach, Caufield, (can't remember the rest, it's on my computer at home)...but Zegras was later than 7)

From PM's to other Mock GMs when I've been trying to move up for both 7 and 31 selections, the order seems to be exactly matching our Ranking...Cozens gone, Dach likely gone..so it is likely to come down to between Zegras and Caufield.

As we get closer, I'll update...
if the Kraut allows me to post about it...he has limited me to 1 per day per topic, unless it is about salad or some other topic of his choice.

I am tempted to take Caufield as he more closely aligns to the survey results:
- Top attribute = Sniper, it is the best match
- Position of Need = RW, 2nd after C
- Skating is good/but not elite
- misses on 200' Game, 3rd need
- Ranked as 7th best Prospect, so value is equal.

Interestingly, Cozens probably matches the best of all to Survey
If Turcotte or Byram are there...we have a decision to make...but the Intel says nope.

My only post regarding Prospects today...don't send the SS please.
