So O Regan gets over 20 in the AHL but that only gets him one game up with the big club? Him, CJ and Goalofson should all be given more of a chance this year. Tell Sovodka, Okslowpoke and Girgs to all take a seat. |

The Risto hate really should stop around here. Most of the time he is being hung out to dry by his teammates. Very little help from our forwards in the Dzone. Defensive partners that forget what side of the ice they're supposed to be on, and once he gets the puck the outlet guys turn up the ice and start skating away expecting a 100ft pass every time.
What kind of numbers do you think Risto could get if he had Dahlin's 60% Ozone starts? You think he would lead the team in giveaways like Dahlin did? He was 3rd on the team in shot attempts, imagine what he could do with 60% Ozone starts.
This year in 10 games against Crosby, Ovie and Stamkos' high scoring Lightning team he was a +2. |

Getting the impression that the ball -- or puck, rather -- is in #Sabres GM Jason Botterill's end right now in regards to Skinner negotiations based on an exchange I just had. |

Do we take this to mean that Skinner has given Botts a take it or leave it? |

Bingo.
Now what hasn’t been mentioned in this convo is if you can shed one or two of these then sure I guess making a move of Callahan plus works. - dadeadhead
You can make it all fit and still make improvements without moving a bad contract out
https://www.capfriendly.c.../armchair-gm/team/1207360
Then $24 million comes off in UFA's after the season:
Scandella
Bogo
Sobotka
Sheary (I would probably try to keep him)
Callahan
Wilson
Hunwick
So to give your team some cap flexibility during the season if you can't move Scandella you would move Hunwick or put Bogo on LTIR |

Sabres Secret Source?
Warrow never says his sources but he is one of the few that doesn't say anything unless it's from someone he trusts |

I like Risto but that dude is a defensive train wreck more often then not. He plays D, for me it matters more what he does in his defensive zone then getting O-zone starts.
Sure would he get better stats with better defensive forwards, probably but he will still be the same guy. 40-50 pt guy, -20 to -40 rating.
I would trade him if the return was great but I lean on the side of keeping him for now.

If Skinner walks people will come on this blog and bash the Sabres, if we sign him, they will bash the Sabres for giving him to much. I can see it now.

Mayo vs vinegar is no-contest.
Mayo's underlying numbers in fat, calories, smell and texture all are negative; mayo is worse in gags-per-60-minutes, relative sloppiness, grossness suppression, and its french-fry Corsi-for is dismal (unless you're French or weird).
Vinegar is actually good for your body to ingest, has way better possession as a marinade ingredient, unclogs blood vessels (try that, mayo!), is good for your liver and skin, and its fried-food metrics are stellar.
Another argument against mayo: watch Undercover Brother. Right, Pachs? |

In the immortal works of Teddy KGB, Pay the man (Skinner) his money...lets get it done all ready...This team needs talent and 40 goals is not exactly easy to replace. pay him 8, 9 whatever Skinner is asking.. |

I love Mac & Potatoes Salad, but this argument is too good. I shall swear off all the mayo based salads....

Botterill had 2 chances to sign him before the trade deadline, he waited. Soon as the deadline came and we seen Stone sign and trade, bad things man, bad things. Skinner's agent will play hard ball. This sucks to be honest. |
