Sorry, I'm with Tanner on this one. Hayes is not worth the salary that free agency will offer. Hoping the Flyers sign him for $7M x 5

That is kind the going rate of 2nd line center now. 7-8 million.

Yes, I realize that. It is a huge over payment.....just having some fun stoking the rivalry.

I figured that. That’s why there was no profanity in my post.😂

I heard he is asking for a NMC. Hopefully, it’s just a negotiating play.

No matter the team, I prefer hockey trades, as free agency is ridiculous. So are the rental prices for playoff bound teams. Once again, the league shoots themselves in the foot by handing stupid contracts, then the fans suffer, as another lockout looms to “fix” what they F’ed up!

Perhaps, but the eye test doesn’t tell me he’s worth those dollars

Whoever signs Skinner to a contract is going to regret it.

Yup. Good player, but outrageous overpay. Thankfully it will be Sabres and not my team.

Anything over $7M is a bad overpayment and I'd even make an argument that he's a $6.5M player.

Gauthier is at the stage where he should get a legitimate opportunity. He has always been able to score, although not a huge point producer. He'd be a great add on the pp. The speed of the game is starting to leave some big men in the dust. Hopefully he's not one of them
