It's dumb, as long as the vote isn't like 80%-20% they should go through. Trades aren't supposed to make everyone happy. As long as they just aren't totally lopsided that everyone is basically against it

Bad choice. You never want to have to climb a ladder for snacks. Usually snack means high or drunk. I could see you getting on that rolling ladder and breaking your neck.

I think it's likely that people are reacting similarly to me in that Toffoli isn't a player that LA should have to pay to be rid of. Call up an Edmonton or a Calgary and you can probably get something back for him instead of giving up an asset to be rid of him. The difference ends up being a two asset swing and, for a rebuilding/retooling team, that means a lot.

So LA is going to trade a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick PLUS a 25-30 goal scoring roster player to move up 9 spots so they can dump 4.6m for one year?

Still a smidge of an overpay but not enough to veto. I'd offer that the trade rating system should have three options:

-Fair
-Unbalanced but not enough to veto
-So unfair it has to be vetoed

That way people can voice their negative opinion without sewering the whole deal. Unbalanced trades happen, after all.
