Been to it a few times (my brother is gay also)...I live in Toronto now and live in the gay-borhood...will be attending Pride in 3 weeks here....

i have always had a good time. My brother came out 4 or 5 years ago and we have been attending ever since, and he appreciates the support when we show up. My parents also have a non-profit animal search organization, so they have a float and its always a good time.

I'm a pretty big supporter of gay rights, womens rights etc etc...but I'm not going to go all snowflake about it. PC culture has also evolved into a symptom of whats wrong in todays society.....

South Island seems to be pretty good. My brother has told me that he is always met with support when hes in VAN too, you get the odd bumhole stuck in the 50's no matter where you live though.
