Rupp fairly effectively said what I have been thinking about Marchand for years. I'm stunned it was on NHL network to be honest. |

It's the old cliche of it's one thing to play with an edge and then it's another thing to just be a little c*** that looks and acts like a rat. I think that's the old cliche at least.... |

In '15 I had two whales bidding against each other for my tickets. I knew both guys well and one of them was going to be pissed and I wasn't looking forward to that. The day before the game my son pipes up and says (for a specific and sentimental reason) it would be nice to be at the game with you. So he and his wife went to the game in my seats and I met up with them between periods and after. Nobody got mad at me cuz it was my son that went. I passed on 8,000 for the pair the day before the game and it would have most likely gone a bit higher the day of the game. But to witness the home team in the town you grew up in win the cup after such a long time is priceless. The atmosphere is like no other. Some things are just worth more than money. Living with your wife afterward, well that's up to you. Good luck with that. - 6628
Oh, she isn't mad at me. She gets it. She just had temporary money signs flashing in her mind.
If we end up losing game 6, she will likely bring it up whenever she needs to take a dig.

I hope for this and many other reasons that they win Sunday and FINALLY have a cup.

i have no sympathy when coaches (as cassidy did) cry about the officials and bad hits and non calls when they are the victims and then its complete crickets chirping when their guys get away with it and does similar hits...
when they get principled and call out their own guys like marchand and chara who pull all kinds cheap poop the and hits...
Q with the hawks was the same way...double minded and dishonest...
cassidy should be fined for calling out the officials...
(frank) the coaches |

But, but, Chief did the same thing, albeit in a more tactful manner, but he literally complained about the same thing.
Then in his latest interview he says he's not here to complain about calls and non calls.
Lol. I think it's pretty funny personally. |

Honestly a lot of local media is saying Cassidy lost his cool, but I think he handled it pretty decently. Doesn't matter time to move on to game 6! Cup will be in the building and so will I. Let's Go Blues!!!!!!!! |

Nah, it's just posturing.
This has been a great finals, no matter the outcome.

He stated a fact, that the Blues were the least penalized team in the playoffs before the finals. And then said he didn't agree with all the calls leading to 14 PPs for Boston in the first 3 games.
He didn't call out the refs, he didn't call them embarrassing. He said he didn't agree with some of the calls. Not even close to the same thing as Cassidy last night. Let's just be honest. It wasn't just him being more tactful.
Here it is if you want to listen to it.

Another difference is, after a much worse call than Boston just went through, Berube & the Blues refused to complain (#handpass). While someone from Boston has complained about officials after every single loss. |

Yes it was.
Chief used more tact to get his point across.
Butch looked miffed and annoyed.
Same message has been delivered.
Call it what you want.
I say Chief did do it, and he did it better.
Or maybe not.
We'll see on Sunday. |

Barbarshev with a hearing. But Marchand, for nearly the exact same hit he was suspended 5 games for previously, doesn't? The fact Bruins fans don't realize just how much favorable treatment they get from the NHL is ridiculous.

Would Cassidy's head explode if Blues insert MacEachern for 1 game.
Its game 6 you have last change and can manage matchups. Would be glorious to put him out there and watch him destroy some people. Bruins would get so tilted. |

I'm not so sure Acciari embellished the hit, it doesn't seem unlikely to me that the second leg went up by instinct, as an attempt to gain some momentum and roll onto his stomach. I can see it either way, but I live in the grey area. |

He's an honest player.
He hits what he can and plays an honest game.
Every now and then he'll even score a goal. |

you give further evidence of my point...coaches should just shut the (frank) up on these issues because they are so damn partisan and frankly thorough going hypocrites...they have no credibility..
barbashev just got hit with a one gamer...oh and no penalty called for a shot to the head...i am sure chief has nothing to say about it...he is my guy..great hockey play

When I looked at it, it sure looked like Bozak’s stick took a swing at the puck... which happened to be right near his right skate... at roughly the same time Bozak took out his left leg. |

Instead of looking at the comments as being critical of bad calls or non-calls, look at it as coaches supporting their team. Voila! No hypocrisy! |
