So because they missed the hand pass that makes this call ok? Sure the Bruins had time to tie things up but that still should have been called a trip.
- Sabres1523

No it doesn't make it OK.... just saying we've played through worse. Stop blaming the refs and put up or shut up.

There was a penalty, but as long as Marchand is allowed to play in the NHL, I don't have a lot of sympathy for those complaining about a non-call.

The bottom line is calls/non calls like this go against every team at some point. That is why so many people are referencing issues from the past. I remember a SCF 5 years ago that had the worst refereeing in history.

Hearing Cassidy whine about the officiating is really funny. The better team won the game.

Funny too that the NHL isn’t fining him for his comments. Jacobs clearly had words with the right people. Maybe he’ll talk to Sutherland next.

Watching it live, I actually did not even consider that it could be a dive. it looked brutal. I don't blame anyone for being upset especially that there was a goal that followed it.

I adore Acciari, as a player, I think every team needs this type of guy. But upon the replay the trip looked a lot less brutal than in real time and Cassidy looked guilty as all hell. Acciari is a player who is not easily knocked off the puck and is will do anything to support the team, if the coach asks him to draw a penalty for a team with one of the best PowerPlays he is going to do it.

Yes it was a trip.
When Milbury was showing the replay and how the ref had clear line of sight.. The ref didn't. There was another Bruins player that was DIRECTLY in the line of sight between the ref and the trip. . .a 3rd set of legs to go with the 4 involved in the trip. I don't think the ref had as clear line of sight as everyone assumes.

Trip? Yes, but did the ref think that Bozak made a play on the puck?
Embellished? That was my first reaction when seeing the replay.
There are ALWAYS missed calls and Berube was correct when he said that the Bruins were getting a lot of PP's vs. the Blues.
Usually the missed calls "average out" throughout a series and many times during a game.
So B-town fans, the no call did not cause the goal to be scored. A call would have stopped the Blues' possession, but your goalie let it go in through his 5 hole.

NHL should do what they do in both the NCAA and NFL, review every scoring play. In this case , every goal. Takes about what 15-20 seconds and no one really notices it.

Plain and simple.

You know this already happens in the playoffs right? Caused 2 minor delays last night on goals that were close.

This scene is maybe my favourite part of the movie.

"I'm sure it must be down there somewhere, let me take another look".

"obviously, you're not a golfer".

What kind of idiot would fall backwards and hit his head?

It was a slewfoot, but it was only helped because Acciari was skating backwards.

Ten minutes left in a one-goal game with the series tied at two? Yeah, that call is never going to happen in that situation. You have to shoot someone or do something horrible three times in a row to get that call at that point.

well yea, if you pause it at that split second where you can stare at what's happening. It was happening fast.. and the 3 players were in the ref's line of sight, all 3 moving, as the ref is moving. I can see how he missed it.

Terrible. Take a lap. JJ is up in Buffalo not giving a (frank) about the Bruins as usual. At least be educated about what you're hating on.
